Waverley West
Thank you very much for your post ! I prefer to realize myself the backscene. I find that it is better than a photography. In first, i had installed a PECO backscene, but the glue badly made its work. I began again everything. That's fine, Alain. Everyone has their own personal preferences. Good on you for doing it yourself. Regards, Dave

Marcus 37
Bonjour Alain Nice to see some more progress on the layout. Particularly the disused signal box scene with the associated clutter. It's those little details that bring the layout to life. Considering your modelling somewhere in a foreign land, you're doing a pretty fine job of it. Keep it up! Cheers Marcus

Module00
Hello to all, Thank you for your comments and your encouragements. I try hard to do my best to realize a good model railways layout. I work on the installation of the signals and the semaphores. It is not easy. But I found of the help and assistance on a French forum.
Module00
I need some help ! It is really difficult for me the british rail signalisation. Can you tell me if the signals on the track plan are correctly settled ? Are signals missing ? Is there a forum which deals with the signalisation ? Thank you very much. jon_1066
I think what he is trying to say is that to signal it in "British Fashion" the track layout would have to be "British Fashion". In essence facing turn outs were avoided in the UK where possible. It is unusual to get access to a siding from a facing point. So it is difficult to say how it would be signalled when it is not a common thing to see.

jon_1066
I have a suggestion re signalling and operations. Have it as two bi-directional single track lines. You will always have facing points on a bi directional single track line in at least one direction. If I have it correctly your platforms are between: A10 and A16; A9 and A14; and A11 and A13. If it is a junction station between two single track lines (called Through and Branch) then you will end up with more signals but you could also end up with more interesting operations. If V2 is the Through and V1 is the Branch you could signal it like this: Movement through the station could be as follows: Through Up train on V2D pulls into P1. Departs onto V2U Branch Up train on V2D pulls into P3. Departs onto V1U Through Up train on V1D pulls into P3. Departs onto V2U Branch Up train on V1D pulls into P3. Departs onto V1U Through Down train on V2U pulls into P2. Departs onto V2D Branch Down train on V2U pulls into P2. Departs onto V1D Through Down train on V1U pulls into P2. Departs onto V2D Branch Down train on V1U pulls into P2. Departs onto V1D This would allow you to operate up to three trains on the layout using the station to pass trains on the same line. Module00
Hello, Here are some photos of the layout ! Signs with the name of the station has a green bottom to be accompanied in the buildings ships of the station. I was told that it was not a statutory color for a Scotland station, but it doesn't matter.
