90% solved I'd say Rob - cetainly better

Definitely not as wide as it was.

The thread itself is now fully visible without using the slider at the bottom but all the stuff over to the right is still going "off the end".

On reflection, I think that may be an improvement, 'cos I rarely look at it!

Funny it's only started doing it recently; presumably a side-effect of a system update.

Really, it's one for the Warners / Invision devs to sort out. The browser is being told not to wrap the title, so it's doing the best it can and making the viewport wider.

A lack of testing from Invision then! "What happens if someone puts something really long in here?" is usually the second thing we test on any user input (after "What happens if someone puts something dangerous?*")

*dangerous being things aimed at breaking the system's security - a well designed site should 'sanitise' any input to prevent it. I'd hope this one does, but I'm not going to try to find out!

I've shortened the title a smidge. Has that helped ?

Just seen this after I've posted in the reporting thread! Looks like it's trying to keep the title on 2 lines, there's a couple of others that are stretched too.

And here was me thinking it’s because sheep don’t respect boundaries.

How about adding a cattle grid symbol to the emoji selection in that case? Prefix and suffix the title with them and it should keep both title and sheep suitably corralled.

Drystone walls are useless BTW.

Well it is much better than it was on my Mac (of the 'puting engine sort, not the one I sometimes wear when it's raining).  So I can at least see all the important bit now without scrolling sideways - although the coliumn of 'stuff' pm the right of teh screen still isn't in view.

BTW - havea good weekend at you know where.  Apologies for absence but you now why.

Scree  better. I will miss SWAG it is a bit far for me being on the Isle of Wight these days. Especially with the lousy connections at Westbury no the  most convivial of stations. I am sure you will have a lovely time as usual.

Regards To all

Afternoon all,

Hoping for a bit of "time orf" tomorrow with a visit to the Bristol Model Railway show. I'm looking forward to it and have drawn up a list of bits and bobs to look out for.

Otherwise, still no modelling to report on............yet.

A well-deserved break - when will Sir be playing out?

I will be there on Friday and Sunday with B*nkers Lane (O9) (Mainly because my trestles and bars will be supporting the thing....)

Morning all,

Off to the Bristol show later this morning. Inspired by SWAG last weekend, there are a few bits and bobs on the "wanted list"........

What is an unknown is the possibility of  a "spontaneous financial incident "

I was intending likewise, but circumstances have intervened and it now looks like a "Plan B" Sunday visit for me.
