  1. Took this today at GETS,
  2. I thought I saw and advert yesterday morning on facebook or twitter for a Flying Scotsman with a steam generator, I wasn’t really paying attention so scrolled passed it but now I can’t find the advert…
  3. They do look good in the flesh, I know I mentioned before but I’m still hoping for a coal sector liveried one in a follow up batch - would fit into the powering Britain and nuclear themes
  4. On a positive note, I managed to wake the whole house up turning on the TV at 5:45 - it means that everyone is ready on time to leave for Milton Keynes for GETS. just listening to Ted interview the Pirelli guy - the problem isn’t necessarily the tyre, it will have grip it can disperse 85l of water per second from each tyre, the problem is the spray makes it impossible to see. I don’t know what to make about the Gasley tractor incident - the tractor was also on the track when the safety car train went past and no one gave it a second thought - Gasley was going faster (not race speed but fast enough for the aerodynamics to give grip) to catch up to the safety car train and had less than half a second to react. Was he going too fast? Obviously it needs to be safe for the drivers, no one wants a replay of what happened in 2014, but does that mean no safety cars or vsc’s and straight to red flag if someone needs to be recovered - with recovery starting once every is in the pits?
  5. Is the plan for these to be delivered at the same time as the rest of the Accurascale class 92’s? wonder how the box will be decorated
  6. Thanks for helping confirm my suspicions - I guess one other thing that I’ve changed recently is the fuel grade i’m using - I’ve always tried to use Shell V-Power diesel when filling up but when the prices went up I switched to regular diesel, the timing fits but it could be a coincidence. will see what the garage says
  7. My car seems to have developed a thirst for adblue, It feels like I’m adding more every few of weeks - where as previously it was only something that was added at a service (that’s how the handbook describes it as well). Working it out I’ve used 15l since mid August and covered about 1,500 miles. That’s a mix of motorway and short town journeys, but no real difference in the types of journeys I’ve always done in the car. My car is a Mercedes GLE 350 and has done about 79,000 miles. I don’t know if that’s excessive or not it just doesn’t sound right, or is it just that as the car starts to get older it starts to use more?
  8. I know it’s been out a couple of years now but watched Long Way Up on Apple TV this week, I thought it was really good - Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman ride 13,000 miles from the tip of South America to L.A. on prototype electric Harley Davidsons, with the first 2 Rivians supporting them. (They did have an ICE van and camera bike as well). They did have challenges with charging when cold and in remote areas but thought it painted electric vehicles in a good light considering where they were and that they were using prototypes. I actually quite like the Rivian SUV R1S, hopefully they’ll be coming to the UK
  9. Saw a Facebook post yesterday saying these are arriving at the end of the month.
  10. I nearly mentioned the out line only font - the Inter-City APT looks good one that transfer. Personally I think options 3 or 4 work well, I actually like the yellow but could be awkward with the body line.
  11. Really good, I like option 5 - it needs a BR double arrow. Wonder what 2 would look like if the NDM and coach ends had a yellow lower stripe rather than grey.
  12. At that point in time it was as they had to swap to the hard or the softs, the softs wouldn’t have made it to the end of the race, but I don’t understand why they needed to pit at that point, no reason too - LeClerc wasn’t having problems with the mediums so they should have just stayed out longer, it’s as if they were trying to cover off someone on n a different tyre strategy.
  13. I do think it’s going to be an interesting/exciting 2nd half to the season. 4 weeks until Spa and I’m sure I heard Ted say that both Ferrari and Red Bull will have new underfloors.
  14. Lot of racing today, good to to see on track overtaking with the 3 leading teams racing each other. But tyre strategy and poor decisions by Ferrari had just as much influence on the result.
  15. I’m using an iPad and zoom seems to work fine - just use normal pinch action to zoom in and out. Can feel slow while is calculates but no more than a couple of seconds
  16. Surely that’s more than enough reason to pay for a Sky subscription 😜
  17. Would it be appropriate to run 86401 with an intercity DBSO at the other end?
  18. https://www.sussex.police.uk/news/sussex/news/court-results/video-speeding-driver-who-hit-141mph-on-a27-is-banned/ What I don’t understand is what the “driver” was looking at - the camera vans aren’t subtle and it a common place to spot to see them.
  19. @Accurascale Fran Will the people that already registered but weren’t quite quick enough when you had a few left over after packing still be on your list or should we register interest again?
  20. Sky have just confirmed the rule, since the red flag came out before all the cars passed the 2nd safety car line the they revert to the start order. Learnt something new today. George was saying he could have made it back but stopped to check on Zhou but when he got back in the car it would start. Protesters were on wellington straight
  21. Ok that’s just idiotic - Crofty has just said that a group of protesters actually made it on to the track during the first lap - now being dealt with by the local authorities
  22. Bit odd - race control are saying that they need to revert back to the original starting order
  23. Just shown the start - wow!
