Indeed. The only person with any right to object to such capitalist actions is someone who has eschewed them all personally. You can’t vote for any of our main parties and then get upset at capitalism in action. -

This isn’t intended to be an insult, rather feedback on how you may be perceived. I’m sad to say that you come across as entirely devoid of humour. I’m a northerner, the only humour I do is dry, but sadly your posts just come across as impatient and angry. A bit of levity would work wonders. -
I had similar problems and so invested in an Apple Air tag which I posted to myself in various size packages so I could see what they did with it to delay it so much. The postbox is 500 yards from my house in Leicester. Once it went to BRISTOL to come back to the correct midlands hub in Northampton! One of the postmen admitted to me that he had a van full of parcels which he “wasn’t planning on delivering today” as his shift was nearly up……

So, ever the optimist, I’m hoping the lack of recent comment from the Accurascale boys means that they are currently heading back from the docks in their yellow Reliant Robin with thousands of split box 37s in the back….. -
I just done understand why Bachmann don’t take advantage of the current ludicrous prices being paid for MK2a and MK2f TSO blue and grey coaches by announcing further runs of them. There has only been one run of the 2f in blue and grey.

Just realised that the planets have aligned nicely; my new build garden room (or rather railway room!) will be completed around the time that the second batch arrive. Let’s hope it’s insulated well enough not to annoy the neighbours as I recreate the Fort Bill sleeper leaving QS at 5.50am….. -

Even the side profile of the cab looks like the real thing with the loco straight air brake handle just visible in the quarter light, and that brake cylinder detail on the bogie, exquisite….. -

Sorry to hear that and glad that it has brought you some pleasure. Railways can help us during our darkest times, a day on 40145 helped me when I was at utter rock bottom. -

By the way, 40058 was my beast! Are you who I think you are?! -

I reckon the whole “3 shipments” thing is a ploy. Come on, own up, how many of you did what I did, i.e. bought one of the first shipment when you weren’t planning to, purely because you couldn’t wait till the second shipment to get one in your hands?! -

Doubt it works like that, not every expression of interest will turn in to a sale, so sending out as many emails as there are locos available probably isn’t the best way of doing it. For example, my other passion is music, and it was Record Store Day this weekend. The spare stock went on sale at 8pm last night, and everyone who expressed an interest in specific records got an email as soon as stock was released, regardless of when they registered. Bit odd I’ve had no emails at all when I registered for a few different locos….. -

I’m patiently waiting for an email from Accurascale for the locos I want once the spare stock is released after I registered my expression of interest online as we were told to. However, logging on now it seems they’ve been released and have pretty much all gone, or am I missing something? -

Just to add my tuppence to the “cold start scandal”, I think I’m not lying when I say that every sound engine I’ve bought has seen me use the cold start function once (when it’s new and I’m trying all the functions!) and then never again. It’s an insight in to a whole other world that this has caused some people such distress. Not knocking it, it just make me realise how different people are from each other….. -

As you are clearly so important for our “critical national infrastructure” I’m sure you’d be safe as they couldn’t cope without you….. ;-) -

This is what I truly don’t understand, on issues which are obviously specific to the particular item received, why post them as “niggles” in the review of a loco. It’s just so unecessary, and apart from anything else is a bizarre way of addressing such issues. I can’t help but feel that there is an “I’m annoyed” element to such public posts, which as we know is uneccesarry with Accurascale as they’ll bend over backwards to sort ANY problem, even one not of their making (eg me losing a detailing bag). -

A term already exists, and it rhymes with Ham Ons! ;-) -
You reminded me that we caught this working on video with barrier wagons in 1983 at Ferryhill with a class 40. See here at 47.35.

The colour match between Bachmann and Rapido isn’t *great* (especially on the grey) but it’s certainly not to “Bachmann Mk2f vs Hornby Mk2f” standard of mismatch! Bit of weathering and they will sit well together

I find statements like this intriguing. Is that figure set in stone, or will it change to “I draw the line at nearly fifty quid” in ten years time? Also, if you won the lottery, would the same rule apply, and if not doesn’t that mean that it’s just a simple case of not being able to afford a particular thing at the moment?

Well?!

Hi all, I hope this is in the right forum! I am looking at buying a manufactured large garden shed/room for a new layout. It seems the easiest option, though not the cheapest. I basically want a company to supply and install. Any recommendations? I can’t do it due to a condition I have (no, not “being useless”!).

I’m sure we are all thinking it even if nobody has posted it, but after my concern for the loss of human life as China implodes, my next thought is “I hope they get the 37s on a boat before it does”……..! Seems like Accurascale has a covid curse!
