  2. Hmm. Charged £4.50 for 2nd class delivery but only £2.85 on the envelope, was the packaging really £1.65?

Some traders undoubtedly boost their profits with exorbitant P&P charges, but I wouldn't say this was one of them.

That's not too bad at all. When I go to the post it is an approx. 15mile round trip plus £1.00 parking, I do try to post a few items at once but inevitably a late payer will mean I often take just 1 parcel!

I too had 21st March in mind AND apparently there have been more snowy Easters than Christmases in the last century or so. I will nevertheless say that it does feel like Spring today.

I remember a good 6 inches of snow fell at Easter in 1981, in Wiltshire!

  5. Just assembled and painted a 009 Parkside Dundas van kit I bought in about 1994!

Having stuff is good ... and healthy. Not having stuff shows a lack of ambition and imagination. It is also a well known fact that you cannot have too many locos

Yes, the numbers are a bit scary - best not think about it too much. I feel better already. In fact now I have cleared the board of stock it looks a little empty... another 3F would keep the other(s) company.

Hoped against hope that the rumours on Monday weren't true but sadly they are. Currently spinning Spirit of Eden and will move onto Laughing Stock and the solo album before bed. On vinyl of course.

    3. Barry Ten

      Barry Ten

I only have Laughing Stock and the solo album on CD, but vinyl for the others. A 12" single or two somewhere as well.

    4. flapland

      flapland

Laughing stock is a strange semi official pressing from around 10 years ago. Solo album vinyl was a re-release not too many years ago.

Recommend in a similar vein I Trawl the Megahertz by Paddy McAloon (Prefab sprout). Sadly though the recent release are all miss pressed (off centre).

True enough, not a lot of summer on the Emerald Isle, and up in the north here the winter days are shorter and nights longer sadly, if only hibernation was possible! Oh to wake up on a sunny spring morning...

  17. 08 15 33 42 55 58 53 -- bit surprising no lottery ticket buying railway enthusiast had these numbers on their ticket, if they had they'd won enough to buy a real deltic...
