  1. I got this email about the green liveried version: We thought you may like to know that an item you have asked us to notify when it arrives into stock, has had some information about its release date added or updated. Dapol 4D-006-004 Class 73/0 electro-diesel E6003 in BR green with lower grey panels £105.00 Our latest information from the supplier suggests this item will arrive with us between November 2015 & December 2015 Whilst we are hopeful this information is accurate, manufacturer lead times are frequently prone to be delayed. This information is to be used as a guide only. cheers, Keith

  3. I'm after the green peak and looking at the Bachmann web-site see Oct/Nov 32-681 Class 45 D108 BR Green Split Centre Head Code Weathered £ 129.95 which suggests I'll not have too much longer now to wait, but long enough to save a few more quid! cheers, Keith
  4. I see next year's SVR diesel gala is over the weekend of May 19th-21st - http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=101 I gave this year's SVR gala a miss, to go instead to the Gloucs Warks gala next weekend, having been to many an SVR October diesel gala over the past few years - I do like the Autumn leaves along the Valley, always atmospheric, though May's a lovely time too for the Severn Valley foliage - unfortunately for me I'll be missing next year's gala too, due to work commitments that same May weekend, so that'll mean it'll be two years without an SVR gala for me :-( Oh well. Hope everyone there today enjoys this year's gala, and the valley's golden leaves in the sunshine! (a plea for some pics). cheers, Keith
  5. I've been on the hunt for 4mm scale kit versions of these hoppers, does anyone know where I can get them? cheers, Keith

  11. Nice looking models, very tempted but first I checked out the life of D2574... Excellent inf on the Scottish Hunslets at: www.rcts.org.uk/features/diesels/?id=diesels/scottishhunslets and D2574 and its movements in particular: www.rcts.org.uk/features/diesels/loco.htm?id=diesels/D2574 Thought this might be of interest/use to others. cheers, Keith

  16. presumably 15 bob was quite a lot of cash back in the day...? my Roco H0e loco was £14.50 when bought new in 1981, a stack of cash for a 14 year old back then! plus ca change... cheers, Keith PS still got the loco though :-)
  17. For those looking, this month's RM (Aug '15) has an advert for Tennent's Trains (page 28a) which mentions a Model Irish Railways unmade NIR 80 class kit in 4mm for £45. cheers, Keith
  18. Same happened to me recently, took a week from ordering to parcel arriving - I contacted Hattons after three days to see what was going on (having had no notification of shipping) and was informed there was a delay due to something to do with their warehouse. It did take an email from me to find this out but Hattons but to their credit they did reply to my email really quickly (unlike a different large northern-based retailer from whom I never received a reply at all to an email query I sent them...!). At the same time as my Hattons order, I also placed one with the Bristol outfit (qv?) and got my stuff delivered just over a day after first ordering. cheers, Keith
  19. Top marks to Hornby in providing such a detailed press release too! Good to have so much inf on when and where the stock ran in service, especially for folks like me without an encyclopaedic knowledge of Southern rolling stock but with some Southern locos that could benefit from hauling some of these beauts in due course... :-) cheers, Keith
