  2. I find Rails are pretty good when it comes to these things and news in general, eg https://railsofsheffield.com/blogs/news/Bachmann-christmas-announcement

  5. that made me check my trunk as I had a 6 wheel dept brake saved there, and weirdly all my LMS Genesis coaches were in there too, was not expecting that! so I have **processed the order... curious. **update #2, they're now on their way, fantastic :-) all the best, Keith
  6. all I know is my Genesis order, placed in Feb 2021, has disappeared when I log into my Hattons account, the order number and amount is still listed (along with my other 'shipped' orders of many years...), but when I click on the link (for my Genesis coach order) it takes me to 'page not found' error message... I have emailed Hattons** to enquire about this... **update #1, things do seem to be ok with my order, somehow it had ended up in my trunk, so fingers crossed now--thanks to Hattons too for picking up my email enquiry :-) **update #2, now shipped, awaiting arrival 🤞 cheers, Keith
  7. I too am very grateful to all those posting pictures of layouts and updates on forthcoming models, I haven't been able to get to Warley for a very long time now so this 'virtual' attending via RMWeb is welcome. I had my own little spree yesterday thanks to current TMC and Kernow offers (aka Christmas presents to me from various family members!), so kind of dipped into the spirit of things on the retail front too, again virtually, not quite the same I know but something all the same. cheers, Keith

  9. interesting, here https://thetransportlibrary.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=96875 at Bentinck Colliery.
  10. I have just had an email come (along with other CFPS members presumably) from the CFPS Chairman about the new KRM 40 project and models, from the OP press release I did not see mention of CFPS connection but perhaps it was in there somewhere and I just missed it...
  11. Now it's Bure Valley's turn http://www.burevalleymodels.com/c/227/Black-Friday cheers, Keith
  12. that's just popped up on my news feed https://www.standard.co.uk/business/business-news/Hornby-sees-losses-widen-but-reassures-over-stock-for-festive-season-b1042273.html not good news at all.
  13. That's great, many thanks--it's a good way of handling a skew bridge which is what I am faced with too, I do like an arched skew bridge but the geometry baffles me (I remember seeing a template somewhere?) but the girder bridge looks very effective too, and your solution looks the part. all the best, Keith
  14. The columns under the bridge look great, are these proprietary items or home-made? I'm looking into something similar for my layout, so watching your progress with interest. all the best, Keith
  15. Brilliant news, D423 for me, this will very nicely fill a gap in my loco roster :-) cheers, Keith
  16. Not sure about the layout, but for prototype examples Carnforth in the '70s is the obvious one, as is Immingham, as here, with BR Blue diesels: https://www.railwaymagazine.co.uk/9308/the-coaling-plant-story-towers-of-strength-part-1/ cheers, Keith
  17. 35-200 Bachmann OO Gauge LNER V2 4791 LNER Lined Green (Original) Special Price £137.98 great price, one only! https://www.themodelcentre.com/35-200
  18. Rails have posted this today too https://railsofsheffield.com/blogs/news/rapido-trains-oo-via-ferry-vans
  19. many thanks @jhb171achil for this detailed information, so in essence six wheel stock of GSWR type works best for the Hattons designs. all the best, Keith
  20. sounds good to me for the Wandleford Junction type set up mentioned earlier, and with a scenic section bookended between two overbridges 👍 after all it's not all level crossings in Lincolnshire! cheers, Keith
  21. This has got me thinking, something BCDR, perhaps based on Newcastle (Co Down), from a livery perspective which of the current Hattons' offering of 6-wheelers would work best for BCDR? The SECR ones? Or MR? cheers, Keith
  22. This month's issue of Railway Modeller (Dec '22) has a (00) layout called 'Wandleford Junction' featured, with a scenic area of 6' by 1', it looks terrific. It's got two non-scenic 'wings' at each end, of 2' each, leading to a FY, and the scenic area is a module that can be swapped. This gives a roundy roundy in a fairly tight area but very convincing look of the prototype. With a bit of modification it would fit with the 8' 6" (?) you have available, it would mean having one 'wing' of non-scenic with the tight curves (rather than two), leading to the FY, and so an 'out and back'? 7' 6" would be a reasonable FY, even potentally split to form a group of storage sidings and made scenic? Anyway, definitely worth a look. all the best, Keith
