    I guess if you buy from a retailer rather than direct you can ask them to check before dispatch. Must admit I kept faith with the original GT3 and was glad I did, but I was considering Palbricks and after seeing this would only part with my hard-earned via a reputable retailer who can check.

    What loads would be in these wagons in BR days? I presume the difference in say 5 planks and 8 planks has to be for a reason?

    Not quite over a tunnel but Kildale station in N Yorks always looks to me like the line cut through the churchyard when it was built.

    If you're finding the new Bachmann Thompson coaches a bit pricey you could just buy one, couple it to a Railroad Mk1 and your old V2 and away you go

    But wouldn't that risk them looking like undercutting their retailers (even though it's unsold/returned stock - the optics would look poor). If they shift it at GDSF it's far less likely to be seen as head to head with their normal retailers?

    As it happens I went past Bow St station yesterday (a Friday) at 3pm so had a look. To me this represents 'peak' time as any commuters would still be at work. There were 16 cars in the 70 spaces.

    Quite a nice fairly lengthy bit about repairing a returned A2, and Simon's commitment to retaining customers. (And before anyone bangs on about getting better QC at Hornby, AS get returns too)

    Not listed now. Hornby part is X9429 but like spares for so many out of production models these are unavailable, there or anywhere else it seems. Would be happy to use something else, but I don't know which of eg Slaters or other suppliers buffers would be correct.
