Looks like Hornby hacked his account. Of course Hornby is a "trusted" manufacturer that never uses underhand methods...
-
So it is all to pander to atheists/other religions who might find evidence of his existence an inconvenient truth?

There have been a few, OK not a gantry but an old signal falling over none the less. RAIB Newbury report -
Well for one Sunday a year they could have been!

And because I can't resist the good old joke.... If the cat was facing the other way he would have invented the pencil sharpener... (pedants please do not respond, yes that means you.)

Millenium Dome/O2 arena is now being ripped apart.

TBH with the weather the way it is I am not sure I would risk such a long journey by road either.

Wind is picking up still in the Midlands, anything not tied down will not be where you left it.

Don't these guys who posted as recently as the previous page count? https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/169436-Hornby-2022-trains-on-film/&do=findComment&comment=4747304

Prototype for everything corner.

I like Pullmans, but I model blue/grey so have been looking for an excuse to collect every version of the Mk1 Pullman in this livery, as well as some other more unusual blue/grey items. I would have loved to have run one with my Gresley Buffet on my pseudo Cambridge Buffet express/Excursion set but they would never have run together would they? Yes they would! -
Not at all, I very much doubt that Studio Canal will say anything for the reasons outlined in the above posts. However Rapido may wish to say something (even if it is just "serves you right" to Hornby!) unless Studio Canal forbids them.
-
Hornby may say nothing, but I would be surprised if Rapido don't make some kind of statement as and when the time is right, which could well give a lot more insight.

They disappeared quite some time ago, far too long ago for the word "now" to be appropriate. Would this be the first time you have read this thread for a couple of weeks or so?

Look what blew in

They usually end up dangling from the wires, I hope that is not what confronted the driver on this occasion. Of course the railways will still get the blame and bad rep from the delays... -
So that could mean that 1G09 for a Deltic, and 1T91 for a class 81 were very inspired choices by Lima and Triang-Hornby, meaning that they would be appropriate for any passenger formation you cared to hang on the hook, or perhaps they just went by some photos and got lucky...

New structure for British railways
Titan replied to Gordon Connell's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
From what I have heard on the grapevine Network Rail has been compelled to offer the voluntary severance to everybody, and to refuse no-one no matter what their position until the quota is met. Unfortunately as there is a national shortage of certain engineers, so many are accepting and immediately starting new jobs, no doubt with a pay increase to boot and are laughing all the way to the bank. Meanwhile Network rail are now having to draft in engineers on contract or secondment from other companies to cover the shortfall in key positions... -
Shouldn't the title be altered to "Hornby 2022 - Trains on hold" ?

Sushi Passion in Great Western Arcade Birmingham use a gauge 1 railway to deliver their food: I think IIRC it was either a Shay or a Climax with a couple of flat wagons on a circular track. The food was top notch too so well worth a visit if you are in the area,

Best one I can think of at the moment was when my daughter was about 6 years old or so. She was teasing the cat and I could see the cat was getting irritated, you know wagging tail etc. I said to her, "if you do that again he will scratch you" She did it again. He scratched her. 6 year old in tears with no sympathy from Dad what so ever...
-
Not only that, but does it not mean that Hornby will need to reprint them, or have no paper catalogue?
-
I wonder how that works? I would expect there to be a delay before the pneumatic brakes became effective as they are not instant, and at high speed they would have barely started to apply before the neutral section is cleared and it would be time to switch back to regen again, not to mention that on/off/on nature of the braking would not exactly contribute to a smooth experience.
-
The only Hornby stuff I have was made in Binns Road or Margate. Looks like it will stay that way.

Studio Canal applied for the trademark "The Titfield Thunderbolt" just four days after the Hornby announcement. I would consider that a significant development reported after Hornbys announcement, and very difficult to argue that it is coincidental. I think it is an indicator that Studio Canal means business, and that it would be extremely unlikely that that is all they have done.
