  1. Thanks for posting these photos. I always found Stoney Lane a very inspirational layout. There's also a 6 min video on YouTube for anyone who's interested. Cheers Alan

    Crinan

Hello Martyn Catching up with Crinan today and more fantastic photographs. The more I see of Crinan, the more impressive the layout becomes. Hope some day I have the opportunity to see Crinan at an exhibition. Regards Alan
  5. Really shocked to hear the news. Take care of yourself Andy and best wishes for a quick recovery... Regards Alan
  6. A selection of liveries taken at Hexham between March and December 2017...
  7. Tyne Valley passenger services tomorrow, starting/terminating at the Metro Centre... buses to/from Newcastle Central. Alan
  8. Hi Andy - the depot area is looking good. Have you thought of also adding 2-3 portacabins, (Exeter Riverside) and maybe a couple of old freightliner containers being used as stores? Thanks for the link to the emgauge70s website-so many inspirational layouts. I originally found the site many years ago, but hadn't looked in on it for a long time. I remember about 10 years ago making a pilgrimage to the Halifax exhibition just to see Wibdenshaw. Alan
  9. Hi Andy Good to hear everything is ok... apart from the chest infection. If clean air is the answer, then maybe it's time to start putting up the 25kv catenary...? Class 87s through Kings Moreton..?? Alan
  10. I was half way through reading it before I realised it was a joke I picked up my copy second hand a few months later so didn't immediately associate it with April Fools Day...That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it
  11. Reminds me of a Railway Modellers' April Fools article back in the early 80s.. ..about a guy building a London Underground layout beneath the floorboards...IIRC his wife finally put a stop to it after the kitchen floor collapsed - he'd sawed through a couple of joists to extend the District Line..! Alan
  12. Hi Peter A happy new year to you and your family. Nice work on the Peak. You've brought your weathering skills and the ability to personalise locos from 00 to 0 gauge - small details like the open cab windows and the silver window frames which 45036 had towards the end of her career. Regards Alan
  13. Hi Jeff Happy New Year to yourself and any Lunester regulars who might be looking in.. Good health and happy modelling for 2018. I couldn't find a suitably seasonal shot of Kirkby Stephen so it'll have to be Garsdale. Regards and best wishes Alan
  14. Hi Andy A very Happy New Year to you and your family... Maybe I'm biased, but I think the layout really looks good with the blue (and occasional grey) diesels. Great video and some very nice weathering.. Cheers Alan

  22. Just seen this post so sorry for the late reply. A long way from East Yorkshire, here they are passing Hexham. Having taken the photo I was caught out by the service being top and tailed so didn't get the number of the rear loco.
