  1. I know this is not one of the actual liveries, but I do find it very attractive in its own right.
  2. Everyone knows where the Big Apple is, but how many know where the Minneapolis?
  3. Or just leave them there and use the dishes in the other cupboard. 😁
  4. The thread drift started when I commented on the suggestions that most youngsters' introduction to railways was at Santa or Thomas events.
  5. If you are suffering from wood twisting after constructing baseboards, perhaps review the design. I use L girder construction using 2x1 flanges screwed and glued to webs of 2x1 or 3x1. This provides resistance to twisting, and also prevents sagging due to weight. Joists and risers are made with 2x1, with cleats of 1x1. I've used this method since I first read about it in 1981, and never suffered any post construction distortion.

  7. Me too. Also the "four pole" motor (on the diagram explaining commutators), followed by a Jinty that would not start ( as I assume would be an issue with a a real four pole motor lol 😁)
  8. The importance of context. I recommend that you watch parts one and two.
  9. Cut the red wire. Or..... is it the green one? Oh dear! 😀
  10. It's worth checking with the courier companies. Also Hattons and others post flexible track so it obviously can be done ( at a price)
  11. Who cares? 😀 Much preferable to the prejudice against "Grown men playing with toy trains"
