Had a shuffle around to make room to hook the whole set up. I've had some questions on Facebook about the running qualities of these coaches after some disappointment others have had with the East Coast ones. The coaches do not run overly noisily and have no issue going though peco code 75 turnouts from what I can tell. I have some corrected horn grilles on the way for the power cars which I'm looking forward to fitting. I'll likely fit the nameplates at the same time. Cheers, 60800

Very happy with these; I need to take the dummy couplings out as they look silly when the fixed bars are used, but it's a vast improvement over the tension locks. Cheers, 60800

Just picked up my Midland Pullman Mk.3's.... flawless, absolutely flawless. I haven't said that about a Hornby product for three or four years. I've only gone for five coaches due to space restrictions, but will post some photos later. Cheers, 60800

Close enough for me, thankyou :) Cheers, . 60800

Does anyone have the new East Midland Mk.3's and the old (2008?) East Midlands power cars? I'm curious as to if they match in colour. Cheers, 60800

Hi Fran, thanks that's great. I had it in my head it fitted in the fuel tanks, but this is much easier. Cheers, 60800 -
Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale

Hi Fran, stupid question here but I'll ask anyway. If I wanted to fit a sound decoder and the necessary accurathrash speaker to one of my DCC ready 55's, how much work is it to fit the speaker in particular? I notice it says plug and play which is great, but how much disassembly of the loco is needed? Cheers, 60800 -
I wasn't aware that Longmoor had blue 8F's, it really is true you learn something new every day. I had thought about the continental examples, but wouldn't the tooling need alerting significantly to do them? I'm not sure how I forgot the Maroon 8F - I saw it when it was grimed up at the GC with poster paints and half of it had washed off revealing the colour underneath. Cheers, 60800

Hi John, Apologies for the confusion, what I meant with more appealing livery wise is that the MN's are lined green whereas the only options for the 8F are unlined black. It does look to be a bit of a minefield with MN tenders, but I would love to see the loco tackled properly. I can quite happily state that if they did 35028 as preserved, 35005 in Blue and 35030 in GC Railtour condition I would snap them up in a heartbeat Cheers, 60800

I have a gut feeling that we may get a Merchant Navy from Accurascale this year. That and the 8F have been left an as open goal as the current models are now extremely outdated, but the Merchant is more appealing livery wise and a number of locos could be provided in end of steam condition, either smart for railtours or heavily weathered sans nameplates. I would like to see how Accurascale would tackle a Pacific - could we see two trailing trucks in the box? One fixed with the option of a flanged or flangeless wheelset inside scale frames and another on a pivot in over-wide low relief frames like the Bachmann A2? Cheers, 60800

Picked up the LSL Midland pair from my local yesterday. Very nice models, but the tooling is definitely showing it's age now. Livery application is not perfect, but it's much better than the LNER farewell set. Looking forward to the coaches arriving for this. Cheers, 60800

Which I would do if I didn't already have the NRM version of 43238. When the East Midlands power cars arrive at least one will be getting a renumber and both will have EMR logos. Cheers, 60800

I'm amazed by the lack of an LNER Claret and white class 91. 43238 in flying tomato condition is welcome, but I do wish they would have stuck EMR logos on instead. Cheers, 60800

Unlike those who've been waiting all these years for the models to appear, I never really had a 59 in my plan. I'd been considering a 66 (or similar), but the Bachmann 66 is too old and the Hattons 66 has too many issues for my liking. I visited my local today for some new track cutters and ended up walking out with this; (and the track cutters) It's a really lovely, solid looking model. The only faults I can find are that the headlights and bogie steps need a touch up of paint, but apart from that I'm very happy with it. Cheers, 60800

Class 92, By Accurascale

Who needs Intercity when you have RFD? 😉 Ok, we'll have a little bit of Intercity to make up the trio. Just the 89 to go! Cheers, 60800 -

Edit: The headlight glass requires little cleanup to make it fit properly, but apart from that just wow.... Never mind the loco, the packaging and paperwork alone are just incredible. There's even a set of blinds for the cab windows! Cheers, 60800
