  1. A question for those of you who know a lot more about 92's than I do. I have 92022 on order and I'm wondering what the renaming possibilities are for this version. What i'd like to know please is how many 92's carried the the full RFD livery, and of those that did, did they all have cast nameplates? Cheers, 60800
  2. I am a little biased, but I put the V2 and A4 on the same peg when it comes to aesthetics (and nothing is above them). The photo I posted was taken in her current home, the Danum library in Doncaster. You can see 4771 from windows further up, but the beam blocks the cab and tender. Cheers, 60800
  3. Hopefully this helps :) Cheers, 60800
  4. Hi Kat, My other two are Intercity and RFD, although 90037 does have her DB name 'Christine' applied; Cheers, 60800
  5. Just taken delivery of my third Bachmann 90, DB 90028. It's interesting to see just how close the shades of red are between this and the Hornby 91 Cheers, 60800
  6. Might be underwhelming, but when the club discount is automatically applied, it's only £135. I wonder if this is the correct price? I've ordered one at £135 so let's see if it sticks at that. Cheers, 60800 Edit: this also happens to be the exact condition I wanted to model 46220 in anyway
  7. Whoops, finger slipped and typed 55015 (already got that one) 50015 is the first 50 I saw running (and cabbed), so she is high up on the list; Cheers, 60800
  8. I have made my choices in Dave and Thunderer. I have only seen the latter, but the former is just too nice a livery. My GBRF 50007 is safe for now unless as stated before an Accurascale version is announced. Cheers, 60800
  9. I've ordered 50008 through Rails, but I'm actually undecided on which of the class is my favourite. I already have GBRF 50007 (which will be getting the eBay treatment if Accurascale announce it next year), but I am heavily tempted by post refurb Rodney. What are the differences between the Accurascale model and 50021 as preserved please? Cheers, 60800
  10. After First seeing the Hymek and Western, I got as far as the two gonks milling around (thinking it was them) and turned the video off 🤣 I'm glad I wandered back on to rmweb and saw it was the 50! Cheers, 60800
  11. Fantastic! If I may ask, what's the reason for such a small production run compared to the Deltics and 37's? I think 50008 will be my first purchase, but I want to hold off to see if the run is expanded by exclusives such as D400 (as preserved) or 50015 Cheers, 60800
  12. Apologies for the poor photos due to the light, but after having stalled my 225 projects when there were worries with the QC on the new Mk.4's, I have decided to start picking up the rolling stock and have continued with work on the 91's accordingly. First off the bench is 91119, converted in full from 91002 to current 91/1 standard. Work includes filling in the area above the buffer beam, remodelling the wipers and adding the various new roof details. The yellow front end has been repainted, as has the loco's roof.Thr headlight clusters have also been painted. Decals are from precision labels. I experimented with trying to make the new grilles, but in the end the best option was a decal. The kadees, although inaccurate are fitted to help disguise the huge gap in the valance. I filled this on 91111 but may be reversing the work on that loco; Cheers, 60800
  13. I'm honestly surprised that after all these years no-one has done Gladstone. I would love to see the Midland Spinner done but honestly I'd prefer Bachmann or Rapido to do that one. Since it's Heljan and they have form with AC Electrics, (and I love the new 86) I'm really really hoping it's the 84. If it turns out to be Heljan that is doing this mystical new HST I can see an NRM double pack of 43002 and 43102 and it's not too much of a stretch to see them do the prototypes since they will have the chassis and mechanism done already. Cheers, 60800
  14. Hi Jools, My D9009 had a scratch through the numbers on one side so I ended up renumbering that side to 55009 :) The only other change I had to make apart from the renumbering was painting the bufferbeam and buffer shanks on one end red. You'll also need a data plate to go under the new TOPS numbers. Cheers, 60800
  15. Hi Torbay Express, sadly 9016 never wore blue when she had the WIPAC headlights fitted, so purple and TTG are the only options. Also, 9000 is currently in TTG too - LSL repainted her into it prior to the tour she did at the end of September :) Cheers, 60800
  16. Marne does appear on eBay very rarely. I'd been hunting for one for a good while and finally got one last month; A few bits fell off in transit, but it was an easy fix and is a gorgeous loco. Cheers, 60800
  17. I'm keeping 91111 and my 91002 which is most of the way to being 91119, but I'll be selling 91118 as the livery just does not match my HST's at all. In the same vein, I've cancelled my Mk4's, with the hope that Hornby will produce the new LNER livery next year. Cheers, 60800
  18. Alycidon is (cosmetically) finished. With one side as D9009 and black bufferbeam / buffers and the other as 55009 with red bufferbeam and buffers; All done in a way where I can change it back to D9009 on both sides with little trouble. Just KOYLI left to detail up now. Cheers, 60800
  19. Finally! Somebody likes it haha. No I only ever did that one view sadly. Cheers, 60800
  20. I'm gonna buy one of the next batch and paint it like this 😇
  21. That's going to be an authentic feature on the sound file for their class 60 😉
  22. Run 2 suggestions? Ok then 🙂 D9016 in TTG with WIPACs (split run between TTG and Purple as others have suggested?) 55019 in Blue as currently running 55008 in Blue (not sure if the unique buffers are tooled though) D9009 in Railtour Green Oh and erm if you do want to enter the WHIF market or want inspiration for a shock loco on your Warley stand... I made this quite a few years ago but i'm still not sure why I gave it black noses. Cheers, 60800
  23. I was going to save this until 002 and 009 were finished, but I couldn't resist lining my fleet up with DP1; Cheers, 60800
