  1. Of course you are, but seeing as they haven't even got the 43xx sorted, it's cart before horse.
  2. It’s a nice straight forward build Mr J. I have built a few over the years and always been pleased with them.
  3. Let's just get the 43xx's done first , eh?
  4. Make sure jigsaw blade is tungsten tipped. HSS will blunt in no time !
  5. You really ought to treat it to an S E Finecast etched brass chassis. Lots of lovely detail !
  6. Mr Johnster, You can source 3D printed Fishbellies from shapeways. Somewhere in the GWR prototype etc. Section there is a thread I did several years ago regarding building 3 (Yup, 3) K's autotrailers. I stalled when I got to the glazing of them as I wanted to try and make my own "semi flushglazing" as the whitemetal sides are way too thick. They are buried in a box as other things peeked my interest....but one day... Anyway I'll try and root out some pic!
  7. Too late in the day for the period I am intending to model, but Rule 1 will have to be invoked. Dr Who time travel will be the order of the day!
  8. I'm not panicking, I'm more concerned about the "not affording them" and then spending probably more on all the kits. Mind you they were all good deals on e-thief so "I had to"
  9. I so wanted to get a couple of sets of these but cancelled my order as I "couldn't afford them" then promptly purchased 34 (Yes 34) coach kits and 4 Hornby Hawksworths since! I need help.....(mentally)
  10. Yup. I always airbrush if possible. My paintbrush "skills" are a bit lacking. The Clerestory looks great btw.
  11. Thank you for the compliments. The colours are originally from Railmatc, although I then painted a couple of sample squares and got a local paint supplier to colour match and mix up a litre of both in Acrylic.
  12. Mr Dunn has spurned all offers of help for several years now. Taking money and hanging onto funds with no intention of supply.
  13. He's been overpricing stuff for ages, catching the less informed out of their money.

    HELP!!!

The only cure is to run out of money.......trust me :-(
  15. Just seen a clown on the bay of thieves selling GWR versions, looking for 64 quid a coach today. Gotta love a tryer
  16. I'll be surprised if Hornby make the bogies available separately as they had stopped offering the old railroad ones for upgrading from the earlier MK1's a long time before the newly tooled 57 footers appeared.
  17. Everything packed away again....on the move for the fourth time in twelve months <sigh>

Mine too, second move inside a year. Needs unpacking but have to wait till April after my eldest and family have visited as the back bedroom is the new railway room.

looking forward to April to make a new start.

  18. Looking at his other goodies, he certainly knows how to charge!
  19. Only if it's pretending to be an A28. If it's in A30 mood then 9ft required
  20. All have been poorly painted but gone for crazy money!
