  1. Are there many ex SR 2-6-0s out on the ocean at present then?
  2. Mine ran very nicely in either direction straight from the box at anything from a sedate plod upwards, and pleasantly quiet too.
  3. I understood it was the licencing deal with Modelzone, forbidding Bachy from bringing it out.
  4. Bought one from Rails in their flash sale. Runs very smoothly at any speed I want using a Gaugemaster Q. Interior repainted, crew and passengers fitted, very happy. In display cabinet until layout goes Great Western in a few weeks
  5. Dan, where's your emergency team of huskies when you need them?
  6. Not ebay, but madness however: http://www.hattons.co.uk/349903/Hornby_R2729_PO01_Royal_Scot_Class_4_6_0_46144_Honourable_Artillery_Company_in_BR_Green_with_late_/StockDetail.aspx
  7. Poisonous to birds, lizards and frogs if they eat it.
  8. I've only been once, in Aug 2010, saw one before a thunderstorm put an end to the fun. Snaps taken through bins
  9. Modelzone in Cardiff often had mismatched loco and tender combos. However, when I saw them, they'd at least got the same liveries.....usually.....
  10. Er, I bought some to replace shredded Hornby traction tyres, then mislaid it somewhere in the attic before I got round to using it
  11. I've left it in the car park, but I'm sure it'll be ok
  12. Bellerophon (with friend City of Wells [aka COW]) Next photo should have a loco who's name will abbreviate to a recognisable word, as in this picture...good luck.
  13. I can bearly believe that.
  14. They are factory weathered. So not necessarily. Yes, I think they are pretty much all rotters.
  15. Pleasant surprise in a slightly dubious cul-de-sac in a suburb of Cardiff this lunchtime whilst waiting for a pupil to appear for her driving lesson. Bird flew across in front, landed on nearby fence, female/ juv Black redstart. Bonus as our previously regular wintering ones in Penarth Marina didn't turn up this time.
  16. Don't stand still in Malta, you'll get shot. Their record with shooting/ trapping migratory birds etc is terrible, and nothing would persuade me to visit there.
  17. I leave mine out for 2-3 months at a time, then change region and or era.
  18. Yes, because I'm lucky enough to have the centrally heated attic for the layout, so 30-40 locos, 11 trains (of coaches or wagons), at least, can stay out.
  19. Some of my wife's cake baking attempts would suffice......
  20. Bluebell had 2 mk1s and a Polish TKh (not powering) behind it. The S160s were rather impressive, there's a long clip of them double heading the last train of the day on Part 2 of my film.
