  1. PHOTOS who doesn't like photos, so here you are, I am going to be making another one of these soon, but with improved techniques. Any questions please feel free to ask. A side view of the brake van (please note that the chimney is straight, don't know why it looks like this when I take a pic) I don't know why the windows look messy, but I can assure you they aren't. The handrail was very fine wire shaped and cut to the right length. The two windows and wooden supports from matchsticks. The brake van happily joins my scratch built trio. Thank you for everyone who has commented I really appreciate it.
  2. Brilliant pic, Hornby black 5, I have one as well superb runners.
  3. thank you for your kind comments, photos will be taken soon and i will post them on tonight.
  4. Hi, thanks for the comment, if you watch the video I talk a bit about my next build which is a LMS NCC brake van.
  5. Hi guys. It took a while but I got there in the end. The brake van is now complete. Here is a 5min video (grab your tea it's boring) basically talking about the same points mentioned here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDDC1x5IP24 Please comment if you liked the video, or any thing I could improve on. (I really need to get round to buying a better camera) Sorry about my voice, it's not my normal voice, my throat was killing me. This was also filmed over 2 days, so you might see some lighting differences. I will post a more better update and quality photos when I get back from school. Thanks

  8. Yeah go for it, if you make a wagon, you feel really proud of it when someone at the exhibition says "who built that".
  9. Looks brilliant, the extra fiddleyard will get you lots more operating potential as well.
  10. After watching the video again, I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I use an iPad stand with the help of a screwdriver to prop up the iPad to achieve different angles. Works for me, LOL. Sorry for dragging the thread off topic more.
  11. Thanks, now some people will not agree with me but, I really do love the exhibitions, it is the one, if not the most thing I enjoy about model railways. Getting to talk to people and interact with them. (And also have fun at the same time) It was at our last exhibition, where we meet a guy who had also come from the North East and had a brilliant 15mins talking to the same guy about the things we love. (Steam railways) I would definitely encourage anyone to give it a go, you will really enjoy it, Thanks for the comment.

Well who would like a massive countdown, with loads of suspense, with everyone taking part, instead of 5 people on a status update. :) LOL

And we are getting very near to the bottom where all status updates disappear, then no one would know about this at all.
