  1. LMS 7069 is I believe preserved at the Vale of Berkeley Railway but looking on their website, there hasn't been an update for a while. Does anybody have an idea of when it might be completed? Thanks, Paul.
  2. And which side of the track would the lever be? On what was the normal, or the reverse? Paul
  3. Had an e-mail this morning at 04:09 from Pen and Sword to say it had been published! Looking forward to this. Paul

  5. Had 419 today on the Battlefield line for £13 all day ticket. Good value, I thought. (More value on Tuesday when I'm going to Ecclesbourne for D9537; all day tickets £16 over 60, £18 otherwise). Paul
  6. If it's who I'm thinking of, Fitzgerald Lighting was the name. I'm sure that they were still dispatching wagons in 1989 when I was working for Railfreight (General Merchandise). Paul.
  7. It's certainly a slippery slope into 7mm. My favourite loco is a class 08 and so bought a Dapol one. I've now got a second and I shall be buying a J94. My 00 purchases have stopped... I'm in a deep well without a ladder. D@mn you, Dapol! Paul

Looking forward to this too, and it's got working inside motion! Just which one to buy? Paul

    J94 in O gauge

Some of these were bought by the Dutch railways, 27 of them I think, becoming NS class 8800. At least one is preserved in the Netherlands. Perhaps Dapol could do a tie-in with a European retailer as they're doing with the 66. Paul
  10. Blue and green should ne'er be seen without a colour in between! Paul
  11. Nor stand photos are in 'The Acquired Wagons of British Railways vol. 3' on page 65. One picture of new build no. 567 and one of no. 606 in withdrawn condition. Paul
  12. I'm ashamed to say that I live in Derby but knew nothing about this until after the event. Was it publicised much? Paul.
  13. So can we look forward to a 'Gladstone'? Paul
  14. On YouTube at 0700 on Monday, Hornby are doing a big reveal. Just noticed it pop up in my subscriptions on YouTube. Paul

  20. Hi Al, a Shark would suit me fine, thanks. Paul. (p.s. you might know me better as PT2).
  21. With all this reference to kit built TTA wagons, you must have known that Dapol would announce ready -to-run models of the 45t GLW wagons? And as Al has been building a Shark, I've not got long to wait before an RTR Shark comes along! Paul.
  22. Tried to follow this but I've rated it 4 stars instead! That's what you get using sausage fingers on an Amazon Fire! Like you say, we've chance to save up, fortunately. Paul.
  23. On a slight tangent, Montana from Hornby is trying to encourage us (21:00 Sunday) to buy train sets on freeview 85, Craft Store TV. I don't watch this channel normally, but the missus does and was looking to see if there was any sewing/quilting stuff going. Paul.
