  1. Too true. There's some right sad folk out there. My biggest disapointment with the Class 68 model is, that I was hoping for 2 seperate parcels to be delivered today but came home to just the usual junk mail My Hattons Scotrail one should be here tomorrow and the DRS shop one will hopefully be tomorrow too, Saw 4 examples today at the wonderful Trident Trains. They were in a display case but they certainly looked good.
  2. Just took a wonder over to Dapol Digest where the issues have been raised regarding the finish. The official response from Dapol is unbelievable, and basically says (my words), 'we've examined loads and don't see a problem, so put up and shut up'.
  3. Have they / Where has this come from?. Apologies if it's earlier in the thread and I've missed it. I have a ScotRail one hopefully being delivered today and I splashed out £200 notes for the DRS Exclusive. At that proce, it will be going back if it's anything less than perfect.
  4. Just had an email from them that they've charged my card and processed my order
  5. A Scotrail liveried one will hopefully be in my grubby little hands this time next week, depending how fast Hattons can ship.
  6. Visited yesterday for the first time as I needed a replacement Peco point quickly for this weekend. What a find, the shop is like the Tardis with nooks, crannies and cubby holes everywhere crammed full of stock. Had bought from them at shows/ebay before but glad I've now discovered the store. Local for me and only a bit further than Chester Model Centre, which on my last visit there, had really scalled back on their model railway stock.
  7. He'll sell you the £10 as a kit for £150
  8. Been using this on every forum since I first ventured online. Self explanatory
  9. The entire article is about how he earns a living. You just have to search for it a bit ... Selling To Uninformed Dumb Ebayers Buying Advertised Kit-built Expensive Rolling Stock
  10. Sadly no Class 86, but delighted with the Mk3's in ScotRail livery.
  11. Ayr - Stranraer Stranraer - Carlisle Glasgow Central - Carlisle
  12. Me too. Just hope Bachmann don't take as long to produce these as their 158 and class 90 are taking. Otherwise I'll be in my own wooden box before it's released.
  13. I've made a reservation for 1 of each, which will supercede any attempted orders placed last night when I was getting the error message. Being honest, the reservation for the 9F is just speculative, in case the 2 locos come in a wooden presentation box type affair as a twin pack. Steam locos aren't really my thing. As for Class 66's, well, a man needs a Shed or 2, or 14 & counting in my case
  14. I always refer to my railway room as my Great Escape, so perhaps this is more what you need:
  15. Now be fair, at least he's reduced this one as it has a slight dent in the box http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R3370-BR-KING-Class-KING-RICHARD-II-LOCO-BOX-ONLY-corner-dented-NEW-/292002213305?hash=item43fcb02db9:g:M4gAAOSwkl5XcpER That's North Wales folk for you, and I should know!
  16. Perhaps the unit could have Depot or Not in Service at one end and RailEx Mystery Tour on the other. Would cover all bases
  17. Yup. I've had peole playing silly with offers including a certain Sheffield based supplier over the weekend. When they have something for £150 or best offer and you make a reasonable offer, but they come back with a counter offer at £147.50, then they're taking the p. As for that 47/7 ...
  18. With 30 seconds to go and the price at £130, I was sat poised ready to press submit with an OTT 'must win at any cost' bid of £178, when it rapidly flashed up at £180, £200 then £216. Oh well, I'll stick with the Heljan 47 715 Haymarket that I won last week for £83.
  19. I'm hoping they do some Haymarket 47/7's (prefferably 47 715) for release in 2018 when their Scotrail DBSO is finally released. An Eastfield one would do while we're waiting
  20. An email from a Liverpool box shifter this morning advises the DBSO's will have an RRP of £74.95 (sale price £63.71) and are due March/April 2018. We'll see ...
  21. Lima Class 26 described as being in Good Condition by Rail-Vaults http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OO-LIMA-BR-GREEN-D5302-CLASS-26-DIESEL-LOCOMOTIVE-9Z-/172426244360?hash=item282567b108:g:8HIAAOSwB09YPaLQ Shudder to think what state a loco must be in to be described as poor.
  22. Sounds good. I was an area relief clerk at Millerhill in the early 90's and Thornton was one of the depots I covered. Happy days.
  23. Still holding out for a fleet of 26's & 27's. For a curveball, given that the rumoured Class 86 was missing from the Hornby & Bachmann announcements this week, then perhaps ...
