Well it turns out that F/S while on the WSR not only needed assistance off the Manor, according to DEPG they have provided rear end assistance with a Class 33 on more than one occasion because it couldn't handle the banks.
D861 is one of NBL Warships that still had its MU in 1970 there is a photo of it at Exeter I've seen with the MU still in place one of only 3 Class 43 at this time.
Cheers Gareth
Yes it is there better engines out there and what gets me is the way some of the pres lines have jumped on the band wagon up their prices and ripped people off just because of the
nameplate.
GWR loco helping out the LNER again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder what the punters thought about on the train paying a bit extra to ride behind an over rated engine
Little bit more info on Mu'ed working there was in the mid to late 60's only 18 class 42 Warships fitted and 3 class 43 Warships left with these fittings for MU'ed working.
Cheers GARETH
Not sure about an 05 I think they going to be a hard sell.
I did hear that Heljan was thinking of doing a class 14 O gauge but got talked out of by Tower models a bad move I think the 14's would have been a better sell.
