  1. I like that grounded van a lot, I would only have room for a box van though. Although I have a couple of hut kits unbuilt! Steve.
  2. Fence all finished. I've now got to move on and put something in between the tracks in front of the bridge, I was thinking about a hut or grounded van body but I cant really make my mind up yet. Steve.
  3. Good luck with that operation, hope you get back to modelling soon. Steve
  4. You could try real earth, dried and sieved it can look good or das clay can also be really effective, look for stuff by Chris Nevard, he uses that a lot. Hope that helps. Steve.
  5. Just looked a your cakebox challenge, very nice indeed. To change your thread title I think if you click edit on one of your posts and use the full editor you can do it. Hope that helps. Steve.
  6. That's great Jerry, you've done well getting a few cameos in a small space. Great stuff. Steve.
  7. Jerry, as just said, angling the track could be a good idea but I like the simplicity of what you've got. If you're struggling for ideas what about having a go at something like the cakebox challenge? It's only small and you might get some ideas to go on and develop it further, just a thought. Steve.
  8. Started planting some weeds, got to be patient though as I get one bit to look right then stick another bit in and pull the first bit out of place! Steve.
  9. Wow that was a shock to hear, he seems ok so that's good. Thanks for letting us know George. Wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. Steve.
  10. Fence painted and fixed, I had a small problem as all the weeds I put in wouldn't let the fence sit upright so they had to come out! I'll put them back as soon as the glue has dried. Steve.
  11. Thanks Guys, it is MS Edge that I'm using, at least I know I'm not going mad! Steve.
  12. I'd love to try the pursuit thing and following the Derny. I thought I was flying round until I watched a video of me, looked more like Mary Poppins! It does make you realise how fit the pros are, total admiration for them. Steve.
  13. I got a strange problem replying to topics on here. When I click on 'reply to topic' I start typing and as soon as I hit the space bar the page jumps to the end and I cant put a space between anything. This repeats and I have clear it by having to backspace and delete everything, It's not a major problem but it's driving me mad and doesn't happen on any other forum. Anyone know what it could be? Steve.
  14. Just had a read through the thread and it's great to see everyone else's other interests. I have loads, mainly fitness related, I played football until a few years ago, run a few obstacle races, I train at a gym a few days a week, have an allotment which keeps me and my partner busy and I also love a bit of fishing. Age is unfortunately catching me up and I'm fighting a hip injury at the moment but I recently had a Track Cycling taster session at the Lea Valley Velodrome which was fantastic, I'd like to do that on a regular basis but cant fit everything in! Steve
  15. Love the trackwork, especially the bit leading to the shed. Look forward to seeing some more pics. An n gauge backscene could work well forcing the perspective a bit. Steve.
  16. Not a great photo but I've been fence painting, used the lifecolour weathered wood set warm wood colours. When it's all dry I'll add some powder weathering. Steve
  17. Universe of Love - Joey N Cant put the guys second name in full. Steve.
  18. I just ordered some, thanks Spikey. Steve
  19. I'll be there Saturday, looking forward to it as I've never been before. I'm just trying to work out which way to go as I think there's engineering works somewhere on the GE mainline affecting trains between Romford and Liverpool St. Steve.
  20. Been planting weeds and brambles! Next step is to paint the fence and fix it in place, I've got a Lifecolour Weathered Wood set that I've been wanting to use for a while so finally I can! Steve.
  21. That's a great book Chris, loads of different ideas and projects in there. I got it a little while ago and hardly put it down since! Steve.
  22. Probably said this many times before but that looks stunning! I love the way you're able to take a photo, plan, adapt and build using bits of card and plastic, then hey presto the building looks exactly like the real thing. That is such a talent, fantastic work Grahame. Steve.
