  1. Good start mate.I love running but after years of playing football, running etc my body doesn't like it any more! Havent run for a few months now but still do a lot of HIIT at the gym. I found running a fantastic stress buster. As said before enjoy yourself. Steve.
  2. The Devil Made Me Do It - Robert Upchurch
  3. Looked at the thread and that's some inspiring stuff. Gordon did you solve the problem of sealing the powders? Steve.
  4. I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby - Barry White
  5. I'm looking at replacing wheelsets on a Hornby Class 25 as well. I didn't know there what such a wait for ultrascales, what would the alternative for powered wheels and gears? Steve.
  6. More Than a Million - Aleem
  7. By The Time I Get To Phoenix - Issac Hayes
  8. A little bit of progress, I've added some 'leaves' on the bridge, they must have fallen from a tree nearby somewhere! And painted some of the yard area using some techniques from Gordon Gravetts book, gloss paint and some ash and talcum powder sieved on. Steve
  9. All good advice and I'd definitely recommend the books mentioned, there's also loads of inspiration on here, just look through the weathering and painting forums and find some techniques that you feel you could do. Get something cheap and have a play, enjoy yourself and don't forget to show us how you get on. Good luck. Steve.
  10. Don't look any further - Dennis Edwards
  11. Had a go at planting some weeds and stuff at the end of my bridge. The pink is meant to be willowherb but it might be a bit bright. I did try some static grass wih a puffer bottle but it didn't go quite to plan. Steve.
  12. Looks great Adrian, I guess some sort of wooden staithes or a small wooden platform to store the coal. I just been reading a book about life on the footplate during the steam era and I recon your Coalmen are lucky to have a crane! ;-) Steve.
  13. Finished the Tarpaulin, I really like it and I'm wondering what else I can cover!
  14. Thanks for the info 37 011. I'll look forward to seeing your updates. Steve.
  15. I didn't know that, I'll keep that in mind for next year, if they still do it. Steve.
  16. Had a go at making a Tarpauling to go over a pallet. Used an Idea seen on Mudmagnets Acaccia Avenue thread, wrapped the crate in cling film and then draped some tissue over it and painted it in watered down PVA and left to set. Just need to paint it now. Steve.
  17. Nice photo's, like to know how you detailed and weathered the loco, it looks great. I'd also love to see more of your layout as living in Essex a GE mainline is right up my street. Steve.
  18. My girlfreind has been painting stuff! Tiny Noch animals, butterflies, rats etc, can just about see them let alone use them. anyway took me about 40 ins to glue this thing down!
  19. As it's all stuck in place I'm a bit wary of messing up the whole window. I might give it a try on one a bit later. Or I could use the story that the factory has had new windows fitted recently ;-) Steve.
  20. Gave my Hornby Pug a little run this eve, weathered by drybrushing and powders, I might add a little bit more before it's finished.
  21. Hollywood Dreaming - Fathers Children
  22. Afarid it is especially as It is all stuck to the backscene now. I wondered if I could put a light wash over the window without blocking the glazing too much. I'll bear that in mind for the next build. I could always say the factory owners have had the windows repainted ;-) Steve.
