  1. Got these from my local Wilkos the other day for £1, I don't expect too much from them but they're fine for weathering and got a couple of useful shapes in there, indeed I used them on a lorry I weathered. Steve.
  2. Love come down - Evelyn champagne King
  3. Not sure how it shows up in the photos but I've taken back some of the weathering on the lorry as I thought it looked a bit too dirty. Looking at the picture I wish I could get inside the cab and put a newspaper or something on the dashboard but I've superglued the wheels to stop them moving! Steve.
  4. Wanted to have a go at some weathering techniques so over a couple of evenings I've had a go at a Base toys lorry and fork lift truck. I tried a Valejo weathered wood set for the bed of the lorry, the set is really good but I think the effects are easier to get with larger scale models, I'm reasonably pleased though. Steve.
  5. Fantastic little layout, cant wait to see more photos, what's the overall size? Steve.
  6. Welcome to the go go - Ayre Rade
  7. More fantastic shots Dave. Really like the class 20's at Eastfeild, oozes atmosphere. Great stuff! Steve.

  9. Planted my buildings, and started adding small details, my favourite bit! Got to make up some scrap, planks of wood etc. Steve.
  10. Thanks Mudmagnet, I hope it is, I'll post some photos if so. Steve.
  11. I've seen Acacia Avenue on a list of layouts for the 2017 Shoeburyness Model and Hobbies show, I was wondering if it's the same Acacia Avenue? Be great to see it if it is. Steve.
  12. Done as much as I can with my buildings, just got to plant them on the layout and I can get on with the next bit, adding a few weeds etc growing around the base. Steve.
  13. Let me be your fantasy - The love symphony orchestra.
  14. H.A.P.P.Y. radio - Edwin Starr
  15. The switches I used were a bit fiddly to set up but i've had no problems since. Steve
  16. Stunning work Adrian, especially like the soldered handrail, absolutley loving this thread, so inspirational. Steve.
  17. I've got some Buddleia to make and I was going to use the grated frozen crayon method, as used by class '66'. I'd be interested to know how you're making yours Dave. Steve.
  18. Nearly finished my buildings, I'm not too happy with the roofs. It actually doesn't look too bad in the pictures but I was wondering how people painted them? I used Humbrol Tarmac then washes of variations on that colour. I still think it needs a bit of work though. Steve.
  19. Thanks for posting those pics Kevo, I like seeing how layouts were built. I like the use of the drawer runners, good idea. Steve.
  20. What is my woman for - Curtis Mayfeid
  21. Looks great Kevo, what did you use for the backscene? I've found it difficut to get a curved backscene on small layout. Steve.
  22. Do it Till Your Satisfied - BT Express
