  1. Hi SD85 - was reading down some threads and saw on that said "Lydney Show" and as the current organiser, my ears pricked up haha! I'm also a member of the FODMRC, sorry no-one has replied to your message, that is most odd. I've sent a link to this thread to my predecessor as exhibition manager who is also here on RMWeb, I'm not sure if he may be able to shed any light as I don't have records of layouts that visited pre-2017. Hopefully we might be able to trace this for you, or at least give it our best shot! As Tony says, the organisers were very different but some of the personnel were and still are members of our club now so there may be a chance we have a record or memory somehwere. Dan
  2. Invoice received for these yesterday, I'm hoping they'll drop onto our doormat today (or be placed carefully, I should say...). Hopefully they'll be arriving at your local model shop then too! Drop them a line if you're after one, they look luuurvvvley!
  3. Pre-orders have also been maxed out to retailers for a couple of months now, so it's now a case of "what retailers have is all they're going to get". Judging by the sales so far (especially on the 7-car set) this model is looking to be a pre-sell out, so to avoid disappointment I'd recommend contacting your local model shop early if you'd really like to get your hands on a model!
  4. The BR Green A2/3's are on Hornby's "items due between 15th and 28th February" list Of course that's still only an estimate but gives an indication they are expected to be arriving super soon! HTH
  5. Hehe! Thanks guys, I tried to keep it low key but Facebook does a good job of telling everyone... However I'm told I should be celebrating my younger ages, apparently you only turn 22 once and it's better than 52 (that's what my Dad keeps saying anyway!).
  6. Hehe! The closest it got was when Seal Team Six turned up, apparently Mr President himself was aware of how good these models were and wanted one for display in the oval office......
  7. Invoice now received for all of the GWR versions and just two of the LB&SCR versions, hopefully for delivery tomorrow.
  8. No exact delivery dates but the initial order form indicated all to be released by the end of February :-) HTH
  9. Oh my Callum, I am positively surprised! An order of ours that actually got to you quickly without DPD leaving it in a builders yard or Royal Mail keeping it at their depot for 27 days....that's a turn up for the books considering our last few attempts at getting items to you Jokes aside, can't wait to see them on your new layout. They are selling quite well (especially the LNER and GNR - all pretty much gone here now) so if you'd like some, make sure you contact your local model shop asap and see what they've got left! Cheers!
  10. Evening all! Good question, we get our Heljan via wholesale and tend to do it on an "ordered on request" basis at the moment so I can take a look and let you know sir - I'll need to check we can definitely still order Leave it with me and I'll fire you a DM when I've got the necessary info (maybe after New Year, hope that's okay) Thanks for your kind words. Although they did have their stumbles (see posts above about the missing Mogul), Royal Mail did quite well in the few days before Christmas with only a few parcels sent on the Monday/Tuesday not arriving before the big day! If it's not gone already, the 4th will leave on Tuesday I would say, maybe Wednesday if we get any snow (as projected in todays weather forecast - that may knock us back a little) Hi John - thanks for posting this Yes we cut our losses on Christmas Eve and decided to finish before we'd even gone in, Saul had a devils time getting home on Wednesday night with only one or two roads on the high ground not flooded. My lane then flooded both ends rendering me stuck at home so that pretty much sealed it as everyone else was already off.... I've spent the afternoon catching up on the emails I can do from home and will be popping in tomorrow with some of the others (if the weather is kind) to get a head start the order packing before we properly re-open on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's probably been the hardest December we've done with the huge increase in custom (both in-store and online), with the weather and COVID playing their part too - so to partly echo your message John - apologies and thanks for your understanding if you did receive less-than-optimal service from us this last month. Lastly, hope everyone had a good Christmas and got all of their modelling goodies! Have a Happy New Year and see you in 2021! Little Dan, Big Dan, Julie, Edward & Saul
  11. Sorry Tim....there's 94xx's to follow in the New Year too.... At the moment we don't accept limbs for payment but we could add that option online if required?
  12. In a surprise twist, I've just been notified that the first of the sales area limited edition 45's have arrived at Barwell! As you know they were originally expected in January of next year however their early arrival is a nice Christmas present. Speaking of Christmas, that will probably mess up the deliveries of these to your local retailers, quite when they will be arriving in stores is anyone's guess, but we could be lucky and get them before the big day! Here's the Wales, West Midlands, West England & Ireland model, 45040:
  13. I'm happy to see Lewis back and okay, but I can't help but feel for George. It would have been a huge redemption day for him and I think it would have made what is usually a boring race quite exciting to watch. It'll still be interesting to see how Lewis copes though, given the high-stresses driving on of these things puts on your muscles and breathing.
  14. Our full allocation arrived just this morning :-) HTH
  15. Probably not a specific clause but I expect both contracts have the ability to be bought out... However we're only on FP1, and it looks like Bottas just couldn't get the balance right - if they can sort the setup out for him, he may make a come back
  16. Certainly did :-) The email I received from Barwell yesterday just notified me of a few items (including but not limited too these) that were being "dropped", which means it's been sent to the pickers and packers for them to do their sterling work. The lead time between dropping an order and shipping is random depending on demand and how the orders are processed, etc, but it ranges from being on the same day to a few days later depending on where you are in the queue, how many pickers are on, etc, etc. You get a delivery note and an invoice when the items are actually shipped, along with the obligatory courier email, so we're expecting that for these anytime now. Hope that helps! :-)
  17. Going for A might be a good idea, as in my limited experience, going for D didn't make the slightest bit of difference None received here yet either, but I'm sure they'll be through very soon - I'm not in a rush for them, they'll come when they come
  18. Looks like the sound version is being shipped as we speak, they should start appearing on shop shelves by the end of this week!
  19. Picking list received for these yesterday so they're expected by the end of the week! Keep an eye on your local who should be receiving them around that time too! :-)
  20. I'll keep an eye on it for you Keith :-) With lockdown we've found some over the weekend parcels have been taking longer than normal and it's been potluck as to which get there on the Monday and which don't, but with the amount of extra traffic I can understand it. Hopefully it'll be with you tomorrow :-)
  21. Our pick list for these has just been activated, so with the current lead time I can see them starting to arrive at stores towards the end of this week/early next, if all goes to plan :-)
  22. That certainly was something else! Well done to young Stroll, he's taken quite beating in recent years, but there's no denying there was some skill required for that...
  23. I could not agree with this more. Very well put.
  24. Just received notifications that these packs are due to be arriving within the next two weeks :-) HTH
  25. Thought I'd fire a quick update in here, I must first give Peco credit for keeping retailers up to date, be it through our Sales Reps or via their email channels - well done them! Despatch to retailers has sped up significantly, they have a decent handle on that now, thanks to a strengthening in their despatch team. As you naturally expect, t's not up to pre-lockdown levels which means you can't order something from a retailer on a Monday and them have it on Thursday, but for the current circumstances they're doing very well! Production team also being strengthened and working extra hours to keep up with the backlog. The benefits of this will take a short time to be seen but once in place, things should improve further. New items are still being developed (I know someone is going to ask so no, I don't have an estimated arrival date on the Bullhead slips and crossovers ) so we will see new items being released over the coming months. All in all, well done Peco for doing their best to get a handle on the situation. Keep checking in with your local retailer if you're after something, as if they haven't got it, I'm sure they can get it , even if it does take a couple of weeks or so!
