  1. CAD is always flexible and I can always do detail parts for other sub-classes. Whatever you see in the image I shared above will be available separately i.e. as standalone products.
  2. Another satisfied customer here. Illuminated Models have managed to supply us with various parts for our custom built models.
  3. We'll be listing these parts for sale shortly. They're 3D printed detail parts to upgrade your Hornby Class 86. We did a Class 90 detailing kit earlier and it proved to be very popular. So we're now doing a Class 86 detailing kit. The parts will be sold separately.
  4. Currently my preferred source. But it seems like India has banned all trade and imports from China. Will try and ship it elsewhere though.
  5. Thanks one and all. Most helpful. I'm keeping the North American sources as a last resort as shipping is very expensive.
  6. Thanks guys. Seems like only the North American manufacturers sell these.
  7. Can now confirm it is the WDS2 built for the Indian Railways by Kraus Maffei. Later on they were converted to a WCS2 and had a pantograph added to work on the CR and WR DC network.
  8. Can anyone ID this loco? It was used by CENTRAL RAILWAYS division in India. Looks very much British.
  9. Hi, We're looking for suppliers (anywhere but UK, China, Japan or Taiwan are preferred) for universal cup-and-ball joints for HO scale models. We're looking for suppliers that sell them in bulk. Drive shafts are not needed as we'll be using 2.0mm stainless steel rod or our own adjustable 3D printed shafts. Alternatively if someone has a detailed scale drawing of these type of universal cup-and-ball joints, we can try making our own. Thanks in advance.
  10. Absolutely fantastic job!! Not bad for a first EP and it looks like Accurascale will be knocking their first steam loco right outta the park. Well done @Accurascale Fran @McC @Islesy and the rest of the Accurascale team.
  11. Got another project for a client who wants these LOHR UIC wagons designed for him. Problem is that we only have these 3 pics to work from. Can anyone point me in the right direction for more detailed images of the pair? Looking for detailed images of the bogies especially. Thanks in advance.
  12. Hey Stephen, Having Googled it, it seems like it has Bo-Bo bogies like most models. Try contact Mark Clark from Locos N Stuff - https://www.locosnstuff.com/ Hope this helps?
  13. Thanks for all the input.... The first CAD rendering has now been finished and we've sent off the the CAD to the client to review. Here's a quick look. NOTE: It only includes the CAD for the chassis and the 3D printed parts. The grilles and handrails are not included in the CAD. We'll be doing both versions of the loco for the client. This is just the first, though I am not sure if it's the earlier version or later version.
  14. The Class 800s are long and slender. And being N gauge along with trying to have modern day features like close-coupling etc. It's going to be a tight squeeze
  15. They only just received painted samples. So a delay was expected. They need to make improvements and changes to the painted sample before they can begin production and have a production sample. When you get a production sample (as the name suggests) then you know they're close
  16. We all know how to get in contact with Hornby. It's certainly not rocket science.
  17. Always open to doing new commissions...! The client in question did tell us about this, and we've used many images of this model as a reference, with improvements along the way. We did initially look at these, but there's quite a few differences and very little we can use for reference. The Sri Lankan Railways M2 is a more suitable loco to base our research on. Not to mention it's closer to home for us.
  18. Hi Andrew, as of now I have the information I need, but I am sure that we'll need some help soon. I'll send you a private message regarding this. The project is for an HO scale model.
  19. I'll refer you to @PaulRhB's post..... The dent on the front is most likely from the pin that released the newly formed moulded parts in the machine. It is more obvious when the plastic hasn't cooled enough and is warm enough to have it's shape changed with even a little pressure.
  20. With all the excessive bashing they get, a lot for no reason. A little bit of praise when they deserve it won't harm anyone. And FWIW, when I do post on here, I try to make them as factual as I can. If I do post something incorrect, I will make amendments to the post and admit it. PS: Thanks for the advice. But I am more than happy with my current day job on the other side of the globe.
  21. The TES Team have actually provided an email ID for people to give feedback. I'm sure the feedback will be more useful to Hornby rather than us.
  22. Did they not just say that in this month's TES? That's exactly what they did. The point is, they initially weren't going to do it. The NR NMT HST sets always sold out despite not having the top headlight. I'm sure the LSL Blue Pullman would've still sold out. The hype created due to the lack of the headlight for the LSL Blue Pullman set was far greater than the outcry over the NR NMT HST sets. And let's be honest here, if Hornby said they were tooling up for the new headlight for the LSL Blue Pullman, you'd have people complain about the lack of it on the NR NMT set. So how exactly does this convert bashing to praise? You literally have one person bring up the NR NMT set "now" when it has been done multiple times in the "past". The LSL BP set is a future release. Who is to say that the next release of NR NMT sets won't have the top headlight? Rather than acknowledge Hornby's effort here, a past product is brought in and used as a means to bash a company.
