  1. What do you not understand about not posting copyright images? Do it again and you will lose access to the site.
  2. This is the second topic you have created, both in the wong subforums. The first one also breached copyright. Please take more care with better title, sensible questions and stick by the forum rules you agree to on joining.
  3. Please refer to the site where the image originated - https://www.whathappenedtosteam.com/blog/2017/03/02/scrapyards-around-glasgow-by-roger-johnson-foreword-by-peter-hands/ As the image is just under 60 years old the locos and site will be long gone.
  4. Yes please; certainly an end to the naïve economics of the labour market.
  5. Those are also copyright images. Did you read the forum's copyright rules as requested? Any further breach will lead to removal of access.
  6. A warning for breach of copyright has been issued.
  7. It's unfair that a battle is being fought on the Knavesmire; it's not of the show's doing and it only distracts from any information that the organisers need to put out. Therefore, can we please leave the topic for anything the organisers need to communicate?
  8. Thank you for all the information you have provided for the benefit of the hobby John. I wish you all the very best with everything you have to contend with.
  9. I appear to have burst out of the rest of the reindeer outfit.
  10. Yeah, that's just what you look to see if it's missing when you open a Karl Marx card.
  11. What do I get? More work for a start with another loco for review landing at RMweb Towers. This year's 'Weirdest Christmas Card' award goes to @Phil Parker for Karl Marx - although the work-related sticker on the envelope was very apt.
  12. I stick draught excluder strip onto any edges which will compress to virtually nothing or expand to fill the gap on any board joints which helps too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draught-Excluder-Weather-Weatherstrip-Sealing/dp/B07HT61MYT/ref=asc_df_B07HT61MYT/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=272054178218&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16307559585479973909&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1007034&hvtargid=pla-547558919700&psc=1
  13. Many people are happy to butcher and build, including me, but a line is crossed whenever they preen themselves publicly making out they're 'better'; it's just pure snobbery that benefits no one at all.
  14. Have you been instructed to log in here? They should have let users know at some point. https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/account/login?ref=%2Fmy-account%2Fmy-membership%2F That should link the two accounts so you get your RMweb privileges. For anything mag access related you'll need to contact the subs department.
  15. No pictures please, I've punched too many screens due to reflex actions.
  16. As we're approaching the holiday it's opportune to state that we, as staff and forum administrators, will hopefully be having a peaceful break. This means it may take longer than usual to respond to queries, if they merit a response at all; if someone wants a name change or !to debate the finer points of settings and functions then, I'm sorry, it can wait. Also if you find yourself on the moderation queue it may mean your posts don't get approved for a while; so be it. If you have queries that could be answered by other forum members rather than us please ask the question in this subforum. If there are server/database/advertising issues you may not see anything fixed until IT support is available. I won't be spending frustrating hours and days battling techies over the break; it's a holiday for me as much as anyone and I know my family would be particularly upset of they saw yet another holiday interrupted. I have tried to ensure everything's in as good a shape as it can be ahead of a busy period but I can't predict the unpredictable. If you choose to use the festive season to break forum rules or just act like a spoilt child then we are not going to spend any of our time pandering to you; we will just limit or remove access. If you see anyone playing up just point them to this topic as an explanation. Hopefully, that is all clear so please don't make @Phil Parker or me get itchy fingers; enjoy your Christmases and New Year breaks, spend time with your family and/or loved ones and we shall see you on the other side. Pretty much all of the above will not be an issue for 99% of folk but it's always the problem children who can turn any Christmastime into an ordeal. I would like to thank everyone for their involvement here and in BRM over the last year, it has been a challenging one! Stay safe, stay sensible and enjoy the interaction with others. Andy
  17. Clockwork, System 6, magnadhesion, synchrosmoke and chuffing sandpaper; set the DeLorean for 1972.
  18. All the info will be on here at 10.00 on the 10th. Of course it will be on Hornby's site too but, if previous years are anything to go by, it will be slow (or hung) and difficult to find the key information quickly
  19. Sometimes I just have to laugh at such displays of snobbery looking down at the mortals who feel happier buying a model than stressing over making it. I'm sure they only turn up to look down on others to check they're still looking up at them. There's been quite a few in this topic already ensuring they demean anyone who dares to be content.
  20. Thank you Phil! Yes, we got a fix (of sorts) for tablets on Monday which I'm pleased about. I'll close this one too as random grumbles still appear in the wrong places (because they think they're the first person to find it or the only one affected or just that they want their chuntering to be heard). I'm not going to have the alternative solution available until Jan so we are where we'll get to until the New Year. Thank you all for putting up with it!
  21. You should just be able to close the box once the advert is served.
