Cancelled due to vandalism- Stamford show 18th May
Jonboy replied to Trains4U's topic in Exhibitions
Does this mean if we fundraise as a community it will help keep any increased financial burden to other clubs down, as any payout is reduced, or will the fact this is a single incident over many decades mean the impact is negligible anyway? -
Fixed it for you.....

It is rare that I get emotional about damage to physical items, but the wanton pointless destruction of 1000’s of hours work took me aback. everyone who has lost anything in this sad incident has my full sympathy. -
Hold the front page, its been the joint hottest day of the year so far....

Our regional news seem very keen on arrivals at Portsmouth and Southampton, biggest cruise liner, new aircraft carrier, biggest container ship etc etc. living in Didcot this is highly relevant to my daily life....

Stupid question time, hoping to do this exact install tomorrow but new to dcc. Can someone confirm the unused function wires (blue, yellow, white) are just insulated, rather than soldered together to provide a circuit? thanks Jon -
If this were a user at work I would suspect a corrupt user profile and add a new user account/log in under a different account to the pc to see if it exhibits the same behaviour. (At home I have ditched Microsoft in favour of Linux...because I got bored of having to boot the older laptop the day before I wanted to use it and check for updates...).

Level crossing stupidity...

I was planning a visit in the near future but do now have serious concerns about their recent issues. I know both Incidents have not involved through braked passenger stock but do share the same tracks....will be awaiting any interim reports with interest. -
I must admit I tend to plead ignorance when it comes to any process that demands a smartphone app just to carry out a routine process. How can fiddling around, unlocking the screen every minute or two, loading up the camera and getting a clear scan on the barcode be faster(and less frustrating once the case my phone lives in is taken into account) than simply going to a dedicated human employed, or terminal designed, for the job. the gym I use at lunchtime, instead of a key ring size membership card that easily scans, they have an introduced an app that needs you to unlock the phone, log into app, bring up a barcode on screen or nfc connection and wave at the barrier. I simply claimed my phone was too old for the app and carried on with the barcode ( which wasn’t given as an option in their initial announcement of the new app...).

Have you considered a 2nd hand battery from a second hand vendor like mpb.com (who operate in uk and USA). My last Nikon battery from them was around £12 and looks and charges like a new one.

Kimi, 2013 Australian gp (season opener) for Lotus.... Much preferred the btcc yesterday as well.

chrome tends to be faster, Firefox in my experience bloats itself with extensions in the medium/long term. Microsoft edge is a technical dead end and they are revamping it to use the same underlying software as Chrome and Firefox.
-
The problem with that approach is there is a cumulative saving if you post more than one of an item. For the majority of the paints I sell at work I could send 8 or so into the cheapest small parcel category with Royal Mail. Do I therefore mark up each paint by the £2.85 to ensure I don’t lose out on small orders, or charge a flat rate £2.85 p&p charge?
-
If you search “Microsoft edge large memory usage” you get thousands of results of similar issues ever since Edge was released, and no resolution. Personally I won’t use it, preferring opera or IE. Many others recommend chrome or Firefox.

Th curious one is the number of companies that won’t reimburse staff the toll charge, preferring to pay wages to sit in the traffic...

I dunno, my heart is bleeding for poor Max having his final run stolen like that...

Went again today with aim of walking less of the course than last time, and only walked 100 yards or so thanks to a lovely lady talking to me and distracting me from thinking about whether I should walk a bit. I do tend to be a bit self destructive in that sense.

Nah a tub of lard would get voted into our seat if it had a blue label....I suspect the local councils are simply kicking the can down the road until it can be passed up to a tribunal/secretary of state to make the unpopular decision.
