The unique GBRF Evening Star has been on the Avonmouth Clitheroe run for a week or so, finally the sun shined today..... The effort GBRF go to on their "celebrity" locos has to be commended and congratulated... -
Oh dear sorry to hear of track troubles. Have the springs been removed from the centre of the point or is it an electrical issue...

Out at 6.30 for a daylight Scunthorpe to Margam train. The low sun causes problems at any of my preferred photo positions but it was worth it for loaded slabs.... -

Interesting little addition to our day yesterday in Cheltenham, a passenger train visit to out southbound passing loop. Think the lucky punters visited the Pontrailus wood yard too on the way to Hereford? Mind it nearly did not happen as Gloucester box seemed to route train straight on to start with. The train ground to a halt at the signal before. I guess the drive saw he did not have the feather to enter the sidings. He spent five minutes in discussions before the point changed. Guess the signalled did not understand that passengers wanted to spend 25 minutes in a sidings, LOL? -
What time is the live Podcast this weekend of the Brighton Belle run?

Like the detail in the yard, especially the old crossing gates!!!

Something a little different on the Bridgewater to Crewe flask today. The out bound trip was a hour late at Crewe early this morning so not sure if a DRS was swapped out for a TPE?- 651 replies

Some new scratch scrap wagons and a very un prototypical DRS flask train in South Wales, my story goes they built a Magnox Reactor at Aberthaw in the 1970s.

My Council building, ex Railway headquaters has chimneys and a roof. Hopefully now looking less North American? Now for the red brick insert sections.

Just managed to catch a day light token exchange for the Berkeley branch this morning. Light was still not brilliant at the Alstone Lane crossing, plus a Worcester bound 800 tried to spoil it too.- 651 replies

I would try a dry brush with Humbrol rust paint and stab the bridge then pull the brush down a little before you take it off the plastic surface? Go for it Matey. The worst that can happen is you have to respray and try again.....

My first complete building ready for the layout, any suggestions how I focus on building Cadoxton now with so many distractions and 20 years before I am able to retire....

The steel hoods look excellent..... thumbs up Emoji. Like the 1990s video, the Newport style girder bridge over to the right looks brilliant, had you decided not to use it there? Think the length of the span suits this style of bridge?

Excellent, lots of great detailing there, I am hoping the Volvo has a disabled pass in the front screen, if not I expect a clamp in the next photo, lol.
