  1. I got mine yesterday. Lovely little thing. A marvel in miniature! I hooked up my LMR coaches and it handled them with ease.
  2. Hornby now saying Summer 24 for the release date for these coaches.
  3. I have slight problem. When i ran it in without any of the detailing parts on, it ran fine, not a problem. But now after putting the detailing parts on 1 end and taking the pin (if thats what it is) that holds the NEM pocket in place, it derails in 1 spot only, and thats coming off a curve onto straight track, it doesnt do it on the other curve /straight section and ive done nothing to the track. Any ideas?
  4. Ive just taken delivery of my 027 and all I can say is wow. Outstanding. The info booklet as BR operating manual is a nice touch. Has anyone attempted to fit the detailing bits yet? Doesnt say in the instructions how to fit the ploughs.
  5. Ive just had a phone call from my shop (Arcadia) to say my 027 has arrived. I’ll be collecting on Friday all being well.
  6. What i meant was , judging by the pic i saw on the website, the magnetic couplings are attached the south end only.(coach A) However i’m guessing they will be detachable/attachable as per the normal way , in and out the NEM pocket.
  7. Heads up people… Hornby have raised the price on these coaches to £140 for each twin and £75 for the beavertail.
  8. Thanks anyway but i managed to get 1 from Peters spares and install it yesterday with said coach now in service. :)
  9. I had my 711 out on my set of B&G P/p MK3’s. 1st time ive done this since i got it last year!! Really does look the part
  10. Ive just had the same problem. One of the springs has pinged off into oblivion. So i cant put my B&G FO. Back together. Id love to know were i can get spares from
  11. I asked the question on the DPS fb page and this was the reply… “Cast bogies staying with 9 and fabricated with 15 for the short term”
  12. Dont see why not.. maybe @Accurascale Fran would be able to advise??
  13. The DPS ltd ed 55015 has cast bogies, i think the new one announced will be fabricated bogies.
  14. Here’s my pics of my D9009 ad 55002. 9 has fabricated and 2 has cast. The cast are more rounded and the fabricated are more angular.
  15. Not quite. Alycidon has its TOPS number 55009, , the model is D9009. The real 1 has cast bogies now that were meant for D9015. The fabricated bogies that 55009 did have , and as modelled by Accurascale, were overhauled after its accident in 2019, will now go under D9015.
  16. You misunderstand .. maybe i didn't explain properly. They’re gonna be modelled with the fairings in between the twins. Circled in red. What i mean is will the outer ends of 2 pairs in the middle of the train.. (in this case the twin 1st open as shown) have any fairings on them? Circled in green. And the inner end of the 3rd/kitchen 3rd’s? An as G-BOAF says the inner end f the obs car too. From what i can fathom, Hornby will be modelling it to be in the southbound direction A-H (looking at the photos the inner couplings will be magnetic 1’s)
  17. Hornby Website now saying Spring 2024 for these coaches…
  18. Whilst looking at the coaches on the Hornby website (which are now all sold out), it says the twin sets will be as 1 judging by the length in the dimensions. It shows them with the fairings in between the twins, but not on the outer end of each twin. Will there be fairings fitted to the outer ends of the inner 2 twin sets? And also the inner end of the obs car? If not they’re gonna look odd. Just something to muse over specially given that these are gonna be premium models.
  19. Anytime. Just to add, the spare set was unlettered and was used for all 3 streamlined expresses if 1 was unavailable, so could be used on the Silver Jubilee, Coronation and West Riding. Like the Silver Jubilee, the West Riding service only had 1 set, and was identical externally, (apart from the lettering)
  20. Yes, there were 3 sets, (2 in use and 1 spare). Always hauled by an A4 (unless failure occurred in which case an A1 is A3 would substitute or in 1 case an Atlantic or N2!). Mainly the Commonwealth A4’s were used (with the polished steel letters) but others were used on occasion. See pic for list The sets were used turn and turn about, (1 set up, 1 set down , then swap the next day) with the obs cars turned on turntables at the end of each trip, but they were only used in the summer months. There’s a book called Streamlined Steam: Britains 1930’s Luxury Expresses (ISBN 017530171-3) that has lots of details.
  21. Thats what is happening with me. Even on chrome. Still not working.
  22. No, nothings changed. Ive tried on a different browser and my phone but the same thing happens. If i try a password reset, it still says the same thing.
  23. I’m trying to log into my account but without success, my password stored in my iPad isnt working, even after asking if ‘m a robot! Tried the “forgot password” route and the same thing happens. Any ideas guys?
