  1. Oh dear. I’m going to require lots. Luckily none of this first batch is for me. Gives me a bit of time to re mortgage the house. 66738
  2. I’d happily have half a class 100. Namely a DMBS so it can masquerade as M53355 and be paired up with a class 105 DMCL (M53812) to form Newton Heath set N699. 66738
  3. There is a picture on Flickr showing 1986 built batch (Standard Railway Wagon Co contract 113) wagon REDA14791 on 04/08/86 with protection Pannels. REDA 14815 with grey band is a 1978 built wagon (contract 62) as is REDA 14807 with/without protection panels. REDA 14772 with large REDLAND logo is a 1979 built wagon (contract 65). And just to complete the picture, the first batch of Redlands from Cavalex was REDA 14764 a 1979 build (contract 65). If Cavalex decides to do a third run of Redlands, there is still 1980 batch (REDA 14775-14780) contract 71 and 1986 batch (REDA 14789-14799) contract 113 to have a crack at. All info comes from the excellent book ‘Standard Railway Wagon Co Heywood Works’ by David W Tandy. 66738
  4. It’s glorious! The theatre of opening the brown paper wrapped box, to reveal that metal box wrapped in SLW branded tissue paper. Lift the lid off, move the foam top layer and there it sits, in all its majesty. A work of art. Well worth the wait! 66738
  5. My credit card shows a pending transaction. I’m really looking forward to this one. It feels such a long time ago when I ordered it. I’m sure the wait will be well worth it. 66738
  6. There’s a couple of professional reworks of Railfreight non red stripe 31’s on an internet auction site at the moment and they are at some serious big money with 4 days still to go. It shows me the demand for this livery and others previously not released would be big. A blue 31/4 for example. Or Intercity Mainline 31/4. Same goes for another release of the HST power cars in Executive livery. (Correct white not silver lettering) One going for £499 on the same internet site. Come on Hornby. There’s cash waiting here! 66738
  7. Yes, 008 for me, in the third incarnation, small yellow warning panel, no headlight. Tops number only. October 1986 onwards. 66738
  8. Would love these in OO! Multiple running numbers too. I understand Bachmann are supposed to be doing one, but when it finally arrives, is anyone’s guess. 66738
  9. How awful for you jools1959. Hope you fight it all the way and beat it. And afterwards you can order your Hattons purchases once more. My thoughts are with you. 66738
  10. Rails are doing 3 pack A and 3 pack B. Preordered both. Along with one from Cavalex direct, that’s a nice 7 rake, all different numbers and details. Looking forward to them. 66738
  11. Totally agree. If only Hornby did a blue 31/4 and a Railfreight 31/1 or 31/2 or 31/3 without a red stripe. And seeing as though with red stripe are so hard to get hold of, another version of this. 66738
  12. Brilliant. At least one will be purchased. If more than one number/variant is produced, I will buy one of each. A RTR Salmon Wagon is long overdue. Looking forward to them. 66738
  13. The Buxton pair for me I think. Found quite a few photos of ADB965228 and ADB965222 but only 1 picture of ADB965226 and even then it’s in the mid 1987 onwards light grey with red chassis. Am I right in thinking there were 3 Buxton ploughs? 66738

    Class 142

If you could at least get the 142/144 original bus seat interiors sorted, an as new Metro train livery 144 would be most welcome. Shame about the 142 delay but gives me time to save up some serious money for 3 of them. (GMPTE, Provincial 1st batch and Provincial 2nd batch.) 66738
  15. Cheers Chris. That doesn’t look too bad at all. Shame a 121 Replacing a 117 driving car will be difficult. Like has been said already, it was a common sight and as a young DMU fan, it fascinated me back in the day. 66738
  16. Could not agree more. I would really like Mt Fuji, but I will resist at that price. Ten months ago I pre ordered L/L 37025 for £148.50. Just about a £40 price hike is too much for me. 66738
  17. Yes indeed. I should have done my research. It just did not occur to me to check if any models were duplicates. I seem to remember that 39-551Z was not available when I ordered 39-552Z, or I would have purchased both at the same time. Lesson learnt. 66738
  18. A lot of it is the annoyance that I paid a decent amount for the Invicta exclusive CCT on EBay as I missed the boat when they were released from new. If I’d known, I would have just bought the standard release for a lot less money. Why could they not just simply put out a different number? I see Bachmann are releasing a Black Charringtons tta tank soon. I will be cautious as it could be identical to the Model Zone release from years ago. 66738
  19. I have purchased general release 39-551A (E94628) and tonight got round to looking at it. To my surprise it is identical number and details in every way to my 39-551Z produced ‘Exclusively’ for Invicta model rail. Checked images online and it confirms that 39-551A and 39-551Z are the same model, just in a different box. How has this come about? They can’t say produced exclusively for Invicta then decide it’s not exclusive after all and is available everywhere. Why produce the same number? Its really annoyed me. 66738
  20. Would really love some Mk 2B coaches to add to my 2A’s. I can’t believe I’m saying this but would prefer Bachmann to crack on and produce them rather than Accurascale. An Accurascale Mk2B would look way too good next to the Bachmann 2A. I know it’s a bit left field but I Wouldn't mind a Manchester Pullman rake! 66738
  21. Wouldn’t mind another run of these superb wagons, with different running numbers to add to what I already have. Just to make the rake a bit more prototypical in length. 66738
  22. 66738

    OO gauge Turbot

So was I. Very nice wagons. The colours tone down nicely with a bit of weathering. No problems with derailing, and compared to Kernow’s offering, the truss looks good to me. Another 3 with the different running numbers from the first 3 will finish the rake off nicely. 66738
  23. Thanks for putting that picture up. The square (headlight position) between the markers does show up well if you zoom in. 66738
  24. They also did yellow frame R6761, but these are hard to find. R6705 single red frame HAA.(Rare) R6706 single red frame wagon factory weathered and graffiti. Fairly easy to find. R6707, 3 pack red frame. (Rare). 66738
