  1. When you say ‘cowling’, are you talking about the obstacle deflector? (Commonly called the snowplough in error)66738
  2. Planning running the set plus a few more mk 2’s as a railtour from Scotland, as my layout is based in Northern England. Pair of 26’s with 47541 tucked inside for ETH. 26007 + 47443’s trip down the S&C to Leeds (and Tamworth Castle + 47422 in the other direction) in February ‘90 inspired the idea. Found a picture not long ago with 47628 Sir Daniel Gooch on top of DBSO 9714, which I found very interesting. 66738
  3. Packs were 39-000H and 39-000M. There are both packs currently on Flea Bay. The weathered TSO 39-364 and the BFK 39-413 do not match the above twin packs as the upper blue is a darker shade. To be fair it’s a more accurate Blue for Regional Railways than the twin packs. The blue on those is more akin to the Model Rail 39-000N Transpennine coaches blue. 66738
  4. Kernow’s Bachmann 39-001U (Now sold out at Kernow but turns up at times on eBay) Twin pack Blue and Grey MK2A with Scotrail branding would go nicely with the newly announced MK2A/Z FK and TSO Scotrail livery.Add another B&G MK 2A/Z and the DBSO to finish it off. That’s my plan. I can forget about the Oxford Mk3’s now. 66738
  5. Happy that 39-175F Mk 1 BG is a NEX in the 92*** number range. Very useful.
  6. Sounds like we are both interested in the same items. Derails has just confirmed a few posts up that unfortunately 47435 has no headlight. 66738
  7. Again we are left disappointed! I’ve given up now. Come on Accurascale or SLW, over to you! 66738
  8. Looking forward to 47050 in Railfreight (no red stripe) and banger blue 47435 (Hopefully Headlight fitted). Mk 1 BG Full brake in Intercity (as the original’s red stripe is much darker than the modern 2F) and Mk1 BG Full brake in Scotrail. And the Mk 2A/Z FK and TSO in Scotrail. 150115 Original Provincial. Would love an Original provincial 150/2 ‘Running Man’ even with the wrong gangway door but sadly can’t see this happening. 66738
  9. The silver around the window looks alright. Quite good in fact, but oh dear, the colours look so off compared to Bachmanns DBSO and 47/7, I just can’t bring myself to purchase them. I really wanted OR to turn this colour issue around, (goodness me, enough questions asked about it), but their stubbornness has cost them 4 or 5 coaches to be purchased from me. A shame. A crying shame. 66738

Still a bit of work to but the yellow certainly tones down.66738

Picked my 3 Dutch up from the post office this morning. Very nice indeed. One question. 4F-043-006 DB978702 features some very nice steps and handrails at the number panel corners, but should they be there? Looked on Hattons, and it certainly is pictured with them on. But looking at the real thing, the only picture I can find is one in 1984 and it didn’t have steps or handrails back then. Were they added after 1984? Or were they never fitted while the Wagon was in Dutch livery? Many thanks in anticipation. 66738
  13. Think the GUV is old Lima tooling.66738
  14. After Hornby yet again fail to provide us a main range 31/4 in Blue or Mainline Intercity version, it’s down to you Kernow to follow up last years commissions and provide us with a key Locomotive from the 80’s/90’s that is missing. A wide geographic area covered by these locomotives mean many layouts would benefit from one. Then there is a 31/1, 31/2 and 31/3 in Original Railfreight minus red stripe. The above plus 31/5 in Dutch/Engineers plain Grey. So many variants yet to be produced. Really not sure why Hornby have not done a blue 31/4 with centre headlight or off set. They have the tooling, as they have produced Regional Railways (Centre headlight), DCR (Offset Headlight) and Fragonset (Offset Headlight) 31/4’s in the past. Would a DCR or Fragonset version really out sell a bog standard workhorse Blue version? No way. They’d sell a boat load. It’s one of Hornby’s annoying habits that they keep producing quirky oddities that often have such a narrow timeline that not many would fit on many layouts. So come on Kernow! There’s money burning a hole in my pocket here!! (And I suspect many more pockets are smouldering as well). 66738
  15. I’m modelling prior to ‘89, so it doesn’t have a headlight but yes, it requires orange cant stripe. 66738
  16. I’m thinking of doing the same with the skinhead 31. Think I’ll go for 444 as it had no fan cowling like 102, whereas 418 does. Less work the better for me! 66738
  17. Just realised that there is still no Full Fat HAA’s in Coal Sector that were due a couple of years ago but the China Factory messed up and produced Railroad versions instead. 66738
  18. Power cars 43033 and 43183 are there in Scotrail. Look again.66738
  19. No, there was no production power car 43001. 002 was the first. 66738
  20. I’d have preferred if they had another look at the 2d again as well as the 2e. Hope the blue/red box have a go at the 2b/2c. The coach that they should also have been looking at is the Mk1 FO White roof charters. 66738
  21. Not too much expense for me from this list. The construction class 60 and the Valenta and class 50 TTS chips about it. Another blue 31/1 skinhead but again no blue 31/4. They’d sell a load. I’d have had some mk 2f’s but i’ve a rake of Bachmanns already. Brave move but at a cheaper price, they will sell well. 66738
  22. Class 101 centre car would be most welcome, but the question is, would Bachmann correct the saloon window/saloon door droplights alignment or just produce the centre car with the same error? Their 101 could have been a real gem judging by the earlier 108, but unfortunately it never lived up to its full potential. I still got one though as my Lima 2 car set wasn’t without its problems either. 66738
  23. The 110 would not be a straight body swap with the 104 as the 110 has saloon window frames which would complicate things unfortunately. 66738
  24. Thanks BR(S). Sorry is it just the 1st class Yellow band that is an issue? Was thinking Bob had spotted an issue about the Blue/Grey/White height to windows/Doors. Is the TSO correct? 66738
  25. I must have missed this somewhere in the thread. Could you explain a bit more in depth please Bob? Cheers 66738
