  1. Hi Alan, I don't think it is all that bad. I have seen far worse ones on E Bay. Cheers, Ade.
  2. Now shown on Hattons website: https://www.hattons.co.uk/219403/Heljan_H7_A3_002_Class_A3_4_6_2_4472_Flying_Scotsman_in_LNER_Grass_green_with_unstreamlined_corri/StockDetail.aspx Cheers, Ade.
  3. If they do some in Southern Railway livery, I think I would be up for some, given I have the IOW Terrier W9 "Fishbourne". Cheers, Ade.
  4. Yes nice to be home early, but I was still the last one out of the door... Hoping to get a bit done on the track tonight. Cheers, Ade.
  5. Done some work on the cattle dock. Cut some of the foamboard so the kit built cattle dock is inset into the platform and not sitting several mm above it creating a step. Some of the new Salt and Lime wagons can be seen behind it. Cheers, Ade.
  6. Hi Andy, sadly another late night at work so I did not get home until 7.30pm, like tonight... Glad you are making progress. Cheers, Ade.
  7. Hattons have announced the price for the GWR Railcar at £466.65. Cheers, Ade.
  8. It was a great day out, thanks George. I picked up some of the board from Hobbycraft which you recommended today ready for doing the scratch built buildings. Four sheets for a tenner. Cheers, Ade.
  9. As a militaria collector/war gamer/railway modeller this layout has it all for me. Superb. Cheers, Ade.
  10. I had the pleasure of having a play with this little layout this afternoon. George had sorted out the electrical problem. Maybe one day I might make something similar with the off cuts of plywood I have left. But I would need some soldering lessons first! Cheers, Ade.
  11. Very sad. Being a Nottingham lad, this was where I bought much of OO gauge stock 40 years ago. Cheers, Ade.
  12. Thanks Rod. Today I got my Sig-na trak controller ordered, so we are another little step forwards. Cheers, Ade.
  13. Like many layouts, photos do not really do it justice. Even better in real life. I had a fantastic day out. Thanks to Andy for driving and George for his hospitality and letting me play with his layouts. I also came back with some goodies too. Cheers, Ade.
  14. Just noticed on the Ally Pally video that some LNER green examples were on display.
  15. Here is a colour photo of the station which shows the platform with the later brick rebuild showing up towards the end. There was also two patches on the platform where the paving stones were replaced with brick sets for some unknown reason.
  16. Thanks Bob. Note the home signal is actually the wrong side of the track, but placed there due to space limitations. The signal was replaced once, the later one had a landing stage for the signal lamp man. As Dapol will be making the latter, I am going for that one. Cheers, Ade.
  17. Hi George, looking fowards to seeing it all in person. Hi Martin, you have excellent musical taste. I usually have Yes playing when I am working on the layout. Cheers, Ade.
  18. Thanks Bob, I have, but all images are gratefully received. I was doing some research last night regarding the platform. Early images from the late 1880's show it made of stone. But later images from the 1930's onwards clearly show it made of brick, so clearly there was a rebuild at some point in time. My layout will cover the 1930's through to BR days. Cheers, Ade.
  19. Just watched a short clip of Pig Lane on You Tube. Looking good. Cheers, Ade.
  20. It is by a Spanish Company called "Redutex" It is actually a sticky backed plastic (reminds me of Blue Peter saying that!) and they do a whole range of 7mm and 4mm stuff. I got mine from DCC Supplies yesterday when I got the wagons. Not cheap at £10.61 a small sheet 33cm x 13cm, but ok for me for a small build. Cheers, Ade.
  21. Thanks for the idea on the coal loads I am going to try it on my new 7mm wagons. Cheers, Ade.
