  1. In 3 little bags are: Etched numbers Etched name plates OHLE tender guard Another bar for the tender Screw link coupling Full cylinder covers to swap for cut aways Tender vacuum pipe Valve gear splash guards CCE headboard Pembroke coast headboard Think that's it
  2. Here is my pair (yet to be joined by 7802) These are my first Accurascale locos and first new tooling purchase in a while and just WOW! I'm sure other individuals are more qualified to comment on the ins and outs and quality features but ... Things I like: -the feel of the buffers, the heavy springing gives them "weight" Vs other offerings -I can open the tender filler cap -the front details on the bogie Things I don't like: -the size of hole left in my wallet
  3. Unfortunately a little too late to actually get put on the layout, but received 7800 and 7812 today At least I can show them their eventual home 😅 Will post more than box photos later
  4. Oh yes! Probably getting confused with things
  5. Other are probably a bit more knowledgeable with on Prairie variants but there are a couple of 31xx and 81xx mixed in. They have smaller driving wheels right?????
  6. Is anyone who has theres able to comment on the state of play in regards to etched nameplates and how easy it will be to rename?
  7. Don't start speculating on order priority I ordered 7812 just after announcement (Feb 2021) and 7800 about a year later (Jan 2022) however both have been dispatched today, I think separately, should have asked to combine dispatch really 😅 I'm a CR too so can't be alphabetical based on surname
  8. Wishlisting for run 2? Mine are getting the weathering treatment from Steve Croucher/Neville Grove so you can expect those photos to liven up the thread!
  9. Still waiting for a green one! The depth of tooling on these must be insane to produce one with stove pipe and oil fire tender
  10. The tender is not prototypical to 7812 as per 1965. The actual A/S model of 7812 is prototypical to 1965
  11. Thanks everyone for the support ☺️ I think I get a desk in the room of the shared house on the reserve so potentially opportunity for some bits and bobs on various It might be a contender for most scenic modelling desk as almost all the rooms in the house look out onto the main lake on the reserve! 🦢🦢
  12. SOME NEWS It's been rather quiet on here lately, mostly because of the lack of progress but there is an overarching reason why. Hopefully I can keep the next but short! So back in April I was made redundant from my job as an ecologist with a small firm in Yorkshire that I absolutely loved. I was working on projects with the various NGOs such as the National Trust up at Malham Tarn, the Woodland Trust on tree planting scheme and Yorkshire Dales National Park. I don't blame my boss, he was offered a job as biodiversity consultant on a local rewilding project which is an opportunity of a lifetime (I would have taken it too). So I moved onto Jacobs (the big engineering firm) thinking ecology is ecology having previously worked for another "large" company when I lived in Aberystwyth where the work was pretty decent, mainly working on onshore wind. How wrong I was!!!!! I'm simply not inspired by what I do anymore and find some of the work almost depressing such as ploughing a new road through priority grassland. This has had a knock on effect with modelling as I simply don't feel inspired anymore to sit down and do any modelling. The solution? Rather than simply find a new job that would likely be similar I am taking a massive leap and am starting soon on a voluntary internship for 12 months with the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Martin Mere to retrain and pursue a career in conservation! What this does mean is a house move and no modelling space, but accommodation is provided on the reserve so no bills. At present the layout is currently being packed away with building safely stored and main boards being stored at my parents. This is definitely not the end for the layout, far from it, just a break whilst I sort the rest my life out 😅
  13. Definitely. The thing that really sells the O gauge illusion I think is the front end of the bogie not having a tension lock or square hole for one making it appear that the only coupling method is the 3 link
  14. When will we see the full suite of photos uploaded to the website? Can't get enough of these!!!!
  15. ModelU are after all my money! Water cranes finally release and can't say no to the figure fitting a headboard!
  16. Not been seeing much love for the BR Black versions so here is mine on a not so North Eastern shed
  17. Progress on the layout has slowed with the nice weather we have been having. An eastern interloper has appeared on shed though 😬
  18. Agreed. It will be Accurascale Manor in 1st 🥇 and then all the other manufacturers battling for the other podium spots 🥈🥉 I can see the Rapido 15xx being a dark horse for 2nd
  19. Love how the only complaint so far is a tiny lever in the cab that you won't notice 99.9% of the time!!!!!!
  20. The matt paint on the smokebox is 😍😍 Can we see what's in all the other boxes too? This is just one and we want more!!!!!!
  21. Photo pulled from social media post about newsletters Is this the chimney of a Prairie and therefore we will get to see colour renders, or something completely different. If different sorry for highjacking Prairie thread 😅
  22. I note the product images for the 2nd batch have been updated to actual models Vs CAD renders Looking good if you ask me. Plenty more photos of this over on Hornby website as well as BR Black version
  23. This is my problem as well. The unpainted ModelU figures are brilliant having bought various ones for locos and also shed staff, plus all the other accessories. If these weren't the colour prints I would be all over them. Have the A/S team ever considered producing unpainted figures for those of us that want to personalise them a bit more/have reservations over the colour print quality?
