  1. Is that not running around its train? The driver leaning out of the cab maybe suggests so.
  2. I think you can take it as read that there will be a second run of the popular class 37’s, as The Heavy Tractor Groups 37714 seems to be part of that run. Can’t wait to see what else you have in the pipeline!
  3. Does anyone know when the RFB’s were first converted? My mind is telling me late 80’s, but I’m not so sure. Thanks.
  4. Sorry @RBE, I didn’t mean to set the hares racing! I was just trying to work out if my proposed helix should be a 2nd/3rd radius or a 3rd/4th and if I could save some money and space, as I have 008 and 093 on pre-order. Fantastic news about being able to remove any offending parts and certainly I would not not be able to see the difference.the
  5. Evening all, I seem to remember there being some discussion on whether these will go round 2nd radius curves. Do we know if that is the case yet please?
  6. Great stuff. It proves, by the first video alone, that anything goes! Mk1’s mixed with early mk2’s, mixed with air cons. NSE (both varieties) mixed with BR blue, mixed with inter city.
  7. Hopefully this link works; https://www.heavytractorgroup.org/product-page/limited-edition-37-714-accurascale-oo-gauge-model
  8. Hopefully there’s an NSE mk2c BFK (along with a TSOT) in batch 2. That’s what I’m holding out for anyway.
  9. Hopefully there’s an NSE mk2c BFK (along with a TSOT) in batch 2. That’s what I’m holding out for anyway.
  10. Another absolute belter! What you are doing now is updating those models that go for silly money as second hand. Hopefully this will start to realign the expectations of those asking for that price. Obviously nobody has to pay that price, but still…. Seriously tempted by an NSE rake.
  11. Quite agree. The ballasting looks fantastic. This is one thing that makes such a difference to layouts and its authenticity (along with cant/superelevation on curves).
  12. Takes me back to my holidays to Llandudno in the 80’s. It could easily be a picture of the shed at Llandudno Junction!
  13. Now that we’ve seen that the tooling is there for a heavyweight version of this, surely it is an easy jump to produce the Trainload coal and petroleum versions of the 37/7? Just saying....
  14. Do we reckon this is the first instalment of batch 2?!? Looking forward to Fran’s take on it.
  15. I like the fact that the nameplates are a separate entity. It lets you model this locomotive as it was when it was converted in late 1988, rather then restricting it to its preserved identity.
  16. And a second run of the class 37 from the 1985 - 1990 period please!
  17. I think I’d be absolutely flabbergasted if Accurascale chose the HST at this stage of their development, although delighted as well. As a late 80’s modeller who is returning to the hobby after 30+ years sabbatical, trying to get hold of a Swallow (non buffered) or Executive livery one without paying silly money is difficult. For me, trying to model that time period, there’s one obvious choice; an up to date class 31 is that choice and specifically a bog standard, BR blue, class 31/4, which is conspicuous by its absence.
  18. Only just caught up with this after a day out with the family. Nothing for me here on the first run, which my wallet is pleased about. What do we think? Bachman to release three/ four every few months? I’m keeping an eye out for a large logo and early intercity executive please! And maybe a rail freight grey one...
  19. I think it just took everyone by surprise. With the timings they are talking about, they must be super confident on the paint finishes. They have done well to keep it quiet.
  20. How many models are normally produced in a production run? Or what’s the minimum factory order to make it viable? I guess I’m wondering if these will end up being pseudo ‘limited editions’ or whether there will be stock left over for years to come?!?
  21. Glad I didn’t pre-order those two Heljan ones now! I wonder where Heljan go from here? These do seem to be the ultimate class 47 looking at them. Let’s hope the price isn’t too horrific. Also looking forward to seeing the painted samples and running numbers chosen. I wonder if they will replicate some of their earlier limited editions that go for silly money second hand? Still, Christmas is coming and maybe Bachmann have timed that just right?
  22. No problem. I went old school in the end and rang you, so my order is in!
  23. Oh my word! Outstanding work. Better start saving!
