    I went to relatives in Allerton by train to Liverpool South Parkway and then bus last Saturday. The driver was really helpful and gave me a shout when we got near the stop I needed. All bus fares in Liverpool are £2 for adults at present - excellent value!

    Hi. You can also run JMRI on Mac OS on a Mac device or on Linux devices but not on an iPad/iPhone. If you have a Windows PC, Mac/Macbook or Linux device, you install JMRI on there, there are then Apps like WiThrottle that run on the iPad to allow you to control your trains using the JMRI device as an interface. Hope that helps take care :)

    I’ve recently put Linux Mint on an ancient ASUS laptop, there is a cut down version designed for older devices. Its made the laptop completely usable again, just need to get JMRI working on it and I’ll be a very happy bunny!!

    Screwfix trestles are excellent value. Height adjustable, fold almost flat and very sturdy. I’ve used them for my exhibition layout and they are ideal for my purposes.

    Bit of a left field one for me - an album called "Good News" by Rend Collective who are an Irish based Christian rock/folk band. Some of the lyrics of their songs were a lifesaver during a difficult patch a few years ago - still make me cry when I listen to them now, but how much stronger they have made me. Music can be so powerful and life changing........

    I’ve got a 009 Alan Keef AK40 boxed away somewhere that I got in the early 90s. Finished it in contractors orange and black, it was always a bit of a jerky runner! Sure that it was one of Brian’s kits.
