What N gauge do you want to see from Accurascale?
McC replied to Ed-farms's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
As you know we've done our own 7mm wagon, and a few more for others (some even award winning :) ) Perhaps another thread... -
Class 37, by Accurascale
McC replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Would you believe just landed at the office today! They will be at Ally Pally and we'll have photos, videos and shipping details in the coming week or so (and more announcements of course!) -
Absolutely, the rail is plastic, due to the mounting points, but will be formed from a very rigid type we've used in the past for details, and we've completely replaced the entire PCB and all wiring / LEDS to offer a complexly accurate lighting suite (and our standard stay live, accurathrash speakers, etc)

That's next weeks announcement ;)

Generally the less you make the higher the price to recoup the tooling cost. -
Don't worry we only have one announcement a week this year :)

McC replied to McC's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Absolutely! We've lined up some more scans, and as always endeavour to be as accurate as possible in all areas. -
It's what @Accurascale FranCalls me when he's off to Glasgow and leaves the computer on :)

For the most part, we agree, which is why we launched with Class 37/6- never done in RTR, with the Scottish headlight versions, never before done in RTR, with the eek, I've said too much/!

The Mk.2c BSO is a standard railtour vehicle, yes. You don't have to invoke Rule 1 to send TSO(T) 6528 up north, there are pictures of it working on the Settle & Carlisle and other northern locations throughout the early 2000s and other points north of Watford as well as in the South West. A recent picture from 2019 even places it at Fort William!

Many of the Mk.2s in the WCR fleet have been accumulated since the mid 1990s. It was an early form of WCR that provided the stock that was used on the Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New St-Cardiff Central, Cardiff-Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol/Westbury-Weymouth diagrams for South Wales & West/Wales & West and then the Wales & Borders's Rhymney-Cardiff-Fishguard diagrams right up until the early 2000s. Project manager Gareth photographed TSO(T) 6528 in railtour use in 2003 and it although it was mixed in with a rake of fully WCR lettered Mk.1s, it didn't have the branding itself (only the lining, plus an earlier number style). However by the end of the decade it was in the condition that the model will be finished in.

Our glorious (and rapidly growing) Spring 2023 catalogue will be available to pick up at the show, concurrently available for download from our website and we hope to also start including it for free in all shipments in the coming weeks.

GWR O11/15 Opens and V14/16 Vans - order book now open!
McC replied to rapidoandy's topic in Rapido Trains
as such. as always we just replicate the real thing as per the data we have. for these, the livery and painting is replicated in the model (bear in mind these are about the size of a thimble) :) -
Luckily we have wagons from pioneering to privatization and everything in between :)

Mark 5, By Accurascale
McC replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
There is a plan to offer a Lokpilot for lighting function, but no plans to offer a sound chip at the moment. We've noticed on some DT's there is poor connectivity between the pickups and the main pickup bar - we'll prepare a short guide / video shortly so you can pop the body off your DT and check / easily resolve if you are having any flickering. -
Class 92, By Accurascale

It’s designed to be easily pop off able for exactly the reason stated above and a drop of glue on the assembly will fix it in place if you want a coupling. something we’ll elaborate more clearly on run 2 manuals.
