  1. These do the trick, and each lead will do two loco's https://uk.farnell.com/jst-japan-solderless-terminals/02sur-02sur-32w150/lead-2way-0-8mm-150mm/dp/3852313?ost=02SUR-02SUR-32W150&iscrfnonsku=false&ddkey=http%3Aen-GB%2FElement14_United_Kingdom%2Fsearch”
  2. You need to pull out the metal buffer heads as well. oh, didn't read last entry
  3. Bachmann class47's are 21pin, so no need for an adaptor
  4. I have been painting a batch of O gauge Bauxite wagons during lockdown. I have used Halfords red primer, Railmatch late and early bauxite and humbrol 133. My prefered method though is to use a darker base colour, Railmatch late as a preshade, then paint a lighter shade in the centre of panels, Railmatch early or Humbrol 133. You can of course add a bit of black to your favorite colour to darken to taste

  7. Hi Maybach, Which 128 thread was this, as i can't find it, and where did you source the plugs from that fit CN6 ?
  8. Why don't you PM Charlie your question, instead of assuming he reads every post!
  9. I used Heljan class 33/1 spares for the pipe work. Howes of Oxford are the spares stockist for Heljan.
  10. The Hornby train set controller is rubbish, The Bachmann equivelent is far superior, Cheltenham model centre sell them brand new split from sets for about £20
  11. I have started to dabble in O, so purchased one of these at Telford on Sunday. Not only am I very impressed with my new model, but I must report on the fantastic customer service from Chris. He took his time to explain the model, from unpacking the model, handling, fitting detail parts and ordering plates. There will also be a 3d printed speaker available shortly for DCC Sound. Thanks Chris, look forward to future products. Steve
  12. It's available to pre order. Due end of the year, apparently. My pre order for this is dated 6/8/2013.
  13. Not a new announcement. I have had one of these on pre order for several years now. Given up hope of ever seeing it!
  14. Strange, as Bachmann 47 was 21 pin from initial release!!.
  15. Bachmann class 20's were originally released with 8 pin sockets, but where upgraded to 21 pin, when Bachmann introduced sound. The new tool DRS 20's will no doubt be 21 pin. Hornby TTS decoders are 8 pin. Many people also carried out chassis swaps to upgrade. Moral of the story, check which socket you have first.
  16. Finally, there's an updated version of the 08 with all-new engine sounds to suit to Dapol O gauge model. These are nice and bassy with more prominent traction motor sounds. They sound great through bigger speakers such as our EM3. All versions of the 08 have been updated with multiple configuration options to suit the different prototypes, making it easy to select wooden or metal doors, two different kinds of whistle or an air horn and any combination thereof. Is this the version you were selling at Warley, or has it been updated since ?
  17. Let the frothing commence !!
  18. Seemed to me that a lot of traders were missing from Warley this year.

      Barry O

Howes have moved away from Model Railways but not sound, Invicta were on stand C07,MRD weren't there in 2015 and unsure why MM weren't there but they still support the Club and show selling the storage boxes

  19. Went to Warley intending to buy a Bachmann class 40.Came home with a Dapol 08 and sound decoder instead. Well it seemed rude not to....

  20. 99.9% of people on here wont know what a 600 is!!
  21. Scimitar. Scorpions went out of service in 1994.
  22. Saladin's, Saracens, Scorpions, Humber pigs, would all be suitable loads. MBT's tend to go by sea due to their size and weight. Although I did see a USAF Galaxy loaded with several MBT's at Greenham Common in the 80's when I was attached there.
  23. I used Humbrol thinners. Puddled it on the branding to be removed, let it soak, and removed with a cotton bud. Did not affect the underlying paint work other than gave it a sheen, which disappears under a varnish spray. Much safer than T-Cut IMO.
