  3. Indeed, had a look at a newly arrived set in my local Gloucestershire model shop. Very nice looking set. Absolutely no use to me, but I want one.
  4. Wow, don't some people get upset if you disagree with them, even when they have got it completely wrong !!

Amateur - I dared to point out some signalling errors on a well known OO layout several years ago and they still go on about it - I've had even had threats. (BTW - the signalling is still wrong)

  8. Oops, well spotted. Teach me to rush through a lunchtime answer. Think I will leave as is, as it's quite funny !!
  9. As mentioned above, the easiest route will be to get hold of 47035, remove the raised marker light domes and lay precision label self adhesive dominos over the top. Battery box's will require changing with some correct ones (Heljan ) if they bother you (they are cl 57 ones). Apart from the loco in the 205th anniversary pack, Bachmann have not done a domino fitted 47
  10. Oh what have I done! Just taken on a 6 month working cocker spanial, to go with our sprocker. Spanial madness reigns in this household.

Great News, our current dog is a Poodle/Cocker spaniel cross, we have previously had pure poodles, which I considered to by veery intelligent, but this one (Tilly) who was a rescue dog is brilliant!

Cockerpoo's are as mad and fun. Both of ours are rescues too.

  11. Are you sure? Usually DCC fitted loco's come with a blank in a separate bag should you decide to remove the decoder.

    Hornby P2

Plenty of stock of RR version in Cheltenham Model centre when I was there today.
  13. Funny that, I just sold one to some guy in South Devon
  14. Well, it finished at £145, so the seller lost out, but then he charged an eye watering £12.75 for postage, so some mug paid more for it than buying direct from CMC.

    Dapol 'Western'

Collected my Western Champion from CMC today. Very nice it is too. I am told that over 2/3rds of the loco's have sold already. Couple of pictures of loco on shed

Or they can be collected from the shop or CMC stand at Glos & Warwicks Railway Diesel gala at Toddington from saturday.
  17. Technically Phil, you could, but only one left ! Lots of people with a zero posts count selling in classifieds, despite the 30 post rule, but then the report function does not work in classifieds.
  18. a "Thank you" is just a click away. So why do so few use it?

Should there also be a button option for "profuse thanks" or even "we are not worthy"?

    3. Nelson Jackson

      Nelson Jackson

I prefer saying "thank you" only because I feel it's good manners instead of pressing a button.

    4. WD0-6-0

      WD0-6-0

I like to do both (most of the time anyway, I like to say it for manners but it seems a shame to have a button and not use it

  19. I'm intrigued to know why you used the word "claim", which insinuates that they are making up their stock figures. Surely a better word would be "have".
  20. If you're going to nick my wheely bin for your own use, don't walk past my front window with it when I am sat there, idiot.

The problem with idiots is that they don't know they are Idiots!

  21. Plate 106 of Essery's An illustrated history of LMS wagons, show these wagons in original livery. no notes are given on colour, but from the b&w photo. I lean towards weathered light grey. You could of course repaint it into one of the GWR wagons they received at the time!
  22. Anyone else not really bothered about tonights sporting event ?

  23. Part right Chris. Yes the Railroad 31 uses the Lima moulding, Shadow, but with newer motor on a slightly modified Lima chassis, hence my use of Lima/ Railroad earlier.
