  1. Has built the basis of the first baseboard today.Now for the surface and see if the plan will work.

  3. Off to Coldharbour Mill tomorrow (05:30 start) for OH's Archeology Annual General Meeting. I just want to visit the mill!

  4. Evening task was to do some tiling in the kitchen - now I can really say I've had a night on the tiles.

  7. Definition of sawdust - wood in kit form. However too much sawdust at the moment - not enough wood in finished state.

  10. Family for lunch today - full dining table - Lamb on to slow roast - now just have to wait. Modelling taking a back seat.

  12. kitchen rebuild come to a halt when new (deeper) sink needs to have water flowing uphill to get to waste pipe - so have to remove dishwasher + cooker + cupboard to reroute. All because water won't flow uphill.

      Found it - was the scalefour Society lever frame - all in two boxes and complete, surprisingly for me. Now just measuring to make sure the room is right.

  19. has spent the last three hours looking for the roll of aluminium oxide grit paper I know I have. Haven't found it but rediscovered a whole treasure trove of tools I'd forgotten about.

      But this is non-modelling tools I'm finding. They were spirited away by my son several years ago and I thought it was my imagination that I once bought them. But now have duplicates.

  20. Starting three weeks hols - have to use up what I carried over from previous years.

      Friend's son works for firm which won't allow carry-over of leave. But when he tried to book days off to use up the annual leave, they claimed those dates had already been booked by other people!
