  3. Back from canalside walk with dogs where we saw a 38xx on a Thomas weekend special. However one dog thought that canalside meant in-canal. Essence of canalpong now permeates house.

  4. Just excavated (right word) the car after summer hols with dogs to beach - vacuum cleaner full of sand and dog fur.

  5. Need to sort out 'stock and bits' shelf - it's just descended into a pile on my overfull desk. And still, after five weeks or trying, can't see the dining table.

  6. Just ordered two Wild Swan modelling books

  7. About to embark on a voyage of rediscovery - starting with the dining table

  8. First day back at work. Expected chaos. ExpoEM North seems doubtful :(

      No - neighbouring caravan had set up too close and prevented reversing - so through the trees was the only way off site. No dents, but no video of the event either.

  10. About to strike camp at Marazion and travel to Stoke Gabriel for a couple of nights - long time since I've been in the South Hams ( > 20 years) and see what's left of Totnes Quay tomorrow.

  12. on the road between Zennor and Pendeen this morning witnessed a very amusing negotiation concering passing in a narrow stretch of road on a narrow bend between a German coach driver and the Italian driver of a large motorhome. Negotiation carried out in partial English with much arm waving.

  13. has been buying maps. They're not so inexpensive any more.

  14. needs to have developed webbed feet overnight - haeave rain now cleared but some less than effectively pitched tents suffered drama.

  17. Low visibility, mist and drizzle today in Marazion after a week of reasonable andd sometimes great weather. Back in the caravan for the afternoon. Had we still had the tent we'd have been damp - but not now - warm and dry. So now swearing at an Access database ...

  21. So far today - OH stung by insects and rips off dressing gown to streak round kitchen - arm numb - drive to pharmasist - on way spot someone's escaped pet rabbit - get posse and catch rabbit after 20 minutes - take to vet - go to pharmasist - go see doctor - arm OK

      Ho hum - getting too lazy for foot pump so bought tyre compressor last night - stared using it this am - pressure gauge wildly out (30 psi tyre reading 55psi). So off to Halfords for a replacement. Jobs that should have been started at ten this morning now being started now - 2 this afternoon.

       

  22. has finished work for hols - three weeks in Cornwall! Set off on Sunday for Tiverton then to Marazion on Monday
