Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but what lights and where illuminate on the Bachmann version? From what I’ve seen from photos the only lamps carried back in the day were traditional oil lamps above the buffers. Did even the side markers work?

It does this every time you successfully link a device to the app. Save it for later, you may need it if you for example, change phones and cannot delete the linked devices from your old phone

It's behind you! to clarify (again) The HM DCC app MUST ask for locations services to use bluetooth, it's an Android only thing, Apple does not make this stipulation. When you install the app you can turn off any permissions, but you must leave location services and nearby devices on as a bare minimum. If you want to use the camera then leave that permission on. The HM DCC app does not track users precise location and also does not track "third Party" so cannot gather information that you may have entered into other apps such as amazon, facebook etc etc Depending on your device during install it may default to all permissions, or may not, it's device and possibly OS version specific.

I don't know the tech ins and outs but it's all tied to the bluetooth mesh. Location and Nearby Devices are interlinked in some way

As far as I know the beta testing program will be moving onto the Dongle next. I would expect the team to test with all available ExpressNet compatible hardware.

it doesn't the HM7000 app needs access to location and nearby devices so that the bluetooth works, music & audio, photos & videos just so you can add a picture of your chosen loco to the roster and finally camera if you want the app to integrate with it to take a pic of your chosen loco. So for basic operation all the app needs is location and nearby devices Hope this clarifies things

The sugar cube is in series with the em2, so I’m told. I did have to drop the volume below 33% when testing the 21 pin with class 50 sounds though.

Anyone know what format decoder they will have?

Testing out the soon to be released Hornby TXS sounds in my Deltic resulted in very bad vibrations from the em2 so I finally bit the bullet and took off the chains to get the body off. speaker stuck down with small amounts of black tac, decoder end brackets superglued down as there’s clearly no metal below the holes in the pcb to accept screws. I also fitted the crew whilst the body was off. then on to the chains! Oh my days, what a job. Needless to say I’m going to have to touch up the black bits and I bent one airhorn cracking off some blue paint too. Hope a railmatch banger blue is a good match but painting will have to wait for another day - my nerves are shot 😉😯😂

I didn't mention the (non)availability of the Android app as at the time of writing it was looking like the app was imminent. I did not want to say that it was not available only for it to be released during the timeframe of the issue. This may still happen of course.

Was the coverage only on pay TV this year? I missed that it was even on as there was no trailers/ads etc for coverage. In previous years the start and finish at least were on freeview?

The Android version of the HM7000 App is not out yet. DO NOT try pairing an HM7000 decoder to the old HMDC app, it will brick it and will have to go back to Hornby.
