Fascinating, the period of time immediately before a much-awaited release hits the shops - loads of folk on tenterhooks, scanning the horizon for the first possible sighting! Then there's the frenzy as those who are really keen to get their hands on the new goodies do so, and then.... well, it all goes quiet and no one really gets too excited if the rest of us quietly pick one of these items up a few months later!... ;-)
