  1. Or if using the RHTT just buy 2 DRS 20's of the same model, once you make them look prototypical you can't tell what number each is
  2. Barry & Penarth in July - I will be there with my layout Barnstoneworth http://www.ukmodelshops.co.uk/events/19624-BarryandPenarthModelRailwayClubExhibition
  3. The crazy thing is the tooling exists, I held a sample in October 2018 and looked at a painted sample - I did try and persuade dave jones to let me run it on my layout (just across from his stand) but he didn't let me.
  4. Sadly I fear crowd funding these will be a bad move and fail. KR Models will have to find a way to get these tooled up without deposits as people will be wary of paying up front, and based on the GT3 if it doesn't reach its figure it won't go into production so its catch 22
  5. Surprisingly 418 lead the train back up last night, 025 was leading to Cardiff this morning. So no idea what the plan is going forward - especially if 421 struggles
  6. 37418 seemed to struggle on Friday night, was 35 late at Llanbradach despite Energlyn & Churchill Park Right time. This morning it was on the rear of 2F10 07:43 Rhymney to Cardiff with 37025 powering the train - 37418 was running to provide ETH. Given there is 2 weeks left could this be the last turn 418 does?
  7. 2010-2017, the previous Bachmann model from the 90's covers her period of operation then - Red connecting rods were one of the differences. The Mainline model with North Eastern on the tanks was how she ran in the 1970's. The Joem nameplate is in the cab or it was last time I was there
  8. To be fair, the list does include 2 reliveried OO locos, a 2nd run of OO coaches, 5 or so OO wagons, a set of buildings and a shed all not previously announced but nothing so much as a new version of a Mk1 in N
  9. Am I the only one who saw the title and thought Bachmann were going to make a Q1? Good to see new stuff announced we were not expecting
  10. Here is an interesting thought for some of you - WHY have you not visited your closest shop? Not looking to start an argument with this one, more into the reasons that stop people - is it their hours, lack of transport to get there, heard bad reviews etc.
  11. Another batch of 142's possibly including chocolate and cream, a 2nd run of 50's as DCC Supplies is advertising Thunderer
  12. The problem with this is supply and demand - in N Gauge Dutch Seacows go for over £50 each, yet I have heard Bachmann would suggest that as the price (RRP or Discount not sure), problem is whilst 1 or 2 might go on ebay at that how well would a shop sell them if they had 20-30 in stock, same logic could apply to OO Auto ballesters - would they fly out if they were in ample supply?
  13. Not sure on the speaker but I asked Hornby on Facebook and they said there will be a DCC socket
  14. Not sure if its been posted on here or not but at the Dapol open day in September last year they were asked at the product presentation about the 88 and they said they have 2 or 3 liveries - the compass logo is different on some as the map coveres different areas (Crewe and Carlisle most likely) but whatever the total is they need one more livery option to make it happen. So yes they do plan it but need something like TPE or Chiltern or whoever to take some on
  15. Given DJM King was stopped in the summer it would take a while for Farish to get a King to the market if they started that day (look at how long some previously announced models are taking) so it won't be announced this year if they were to do one. Less likely now KJ Models have said they are doing a King
  16. My money is on the maroon Thompsons in 2021 (not sure if that's announced in 2021 or announced in 2020 but released in 2021), they will do the more popular livery last as some people will buy the latest model as its new so more sales can be generated by less popular versions
  17. I am going to predict a retooled 37 and Deltic chassis for sound, new tooling 20/3 to follow the OO version, struggling to predict rolling stock as all the main coach types of the Big 4 (Collett & Hawksworth, Stannier, Gresley/Thompson, Bulleid/Maunsell) and BR (Mk1-3) are done - unless they pull off a left field and try to beat the Cavlex 91 and Mk4 to the market
  18. I have an ECoS (well 3 if you include my dads 2) and they are excellent controllers if you can use the features. Regarding returns if problesm arise - I had one dropped and the screen went funny, it went back to Germany via South West Digital in Weston Super Mare so shouldn't matter If you buy here or Germany they will sort it - please note it goes in bulk not 1 at a time so could be out a while if anything happens. I use touchcab http://touchcab.com/ if you have an iPhone this is great, just need a router to connect to ECoS and you are away
  19. Thanks Gerry, looks like this could get expensive with some trains about 30 wagons. Hopefully my next layout will fit 30 plus wagons
  20. These are now live to order, does anyone know how many were in a train roughly?
  21. Exactly, probably pay for your one by selling the other once they come out - I however intend to keep both when I order them
  22. My prediction for the next collectors club model is J72 69023 in station pilot green, given that the new model is approaching and there is no station pilot version listed yet, plus given their history of supporting preservation I guess a donation from each model will go to 69023's owners NELPG
  23. From memory its not a well advertised show, its run by the museum - if you drive by it there is a Gresley A4 Mallard shaped board with the details on - as opposed to a club who need to generate revenue. One time I got expenses from there (at the museum curators insistence I might add) it was a council cheque. I think its 10-4:30 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday but can get details on Friday when I set up
  24. I was under the impression it wad the sleeper contract that suddenly allowed them to work on 89001, the question is now that work has gone what future does the badger have? As someone who donated towards the ACLG fund for this engine the idea of them selling it off would leave me wondering whether to ask for my money back (especially if they make a profit after all the work done) and whether any future campaigns should be supported
