Taken some photos of Felton Lane and it's so sharp I've had to dust the layout, it's like HD.

I used old Pentax screw-thread lenses for colour photography. Sharp lenses and I just liked handling those old bodies...

  4. Here they are Ian, over our way. That warehouse looks superb Jason, the 7mm brick looks just right for the type of stone used on those buildings.

      and a video to match...

  9. Looks good Mike, don't worry about mixing brass and nylon, it's really tough stuff, lubricate it with the correct plastics compatible grease, not oil. As for the lay shafts, I usually smear a little Evo-stik on the shaft end, it can soon be removed if necessary.
  10. It's been a while since I looked I here (prompted by the title change) and wow, it's changed. That siding will alter the whole look of the layout. Looking forward to seeing progress.
  11. Felton Lane's cabin is now just about finished, some of the glazing is a bot wonky and these will be sorted sometime. Some of the paint needs touching up as well. Details of the build in my Felton Lane thread.
  12. A life of surprises - The best of Prefab Sprout. Don't know which is weirder, the frog, the hot dogs or the hairstyles... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4T6e3GJCjow
  13. Now that really does look good, it was good before though. B)
  14. I do this with great regularity when viewing Mick Simpson's Wansbeck Road... I borrowed a Deltic from the Scarborough club layout at Harrogate many years ago and replaced Fred's Sentinal railcar with it, he wasn't amused when it appeared...
  15. My love and I, we work well together / But often we're apart / Absence makes the heart lose weight, yeah.

  16. I'm sure you'll be able to move the brake push rod on to the next hole just like on the real thing...
  17. I've been enjoying this as well, the first time I heard it I thought Robert Plant and Alison Krauss had made another record together...
  18. Just sticking with the operators chat, mine's tea, milk, no sugar. Ta. Great videos Steve.
  19. Mike, very good photos. Don't forget most of the photos taken of the real thing in the forties were with very basic cameras, a lot more basic than the one you use...
