  1. Agreeing with Rob and all others, lovely job, a great bit of metal bashing. B)
  2. LNER D86/87 Milk van. I looked back to see when I started this kit and couldn't believe it was 25th March 2010... Anyway, progress was halted before I threw it in the bin. I decided to give it another go and have almost succeeded. There are some bits that will need sorting out at some time - the brake levers are just a flat etch and will need replacing with something that looks like a brake lever at some time. The door handles are a guess and the instructions were a bit vague on this. In brass before completion (the battery box has been straightened). Body complete and in white primer (it is white, not grey). Chassis in black.
  3. Nah, the first lot were more fun... (Sorry Chris, great photos)
  4. Can I add another WOW? superb attention to detail.
  5. So, trains running when? tomorrow night? Looks like a great little project Chris, perfect for the 'car boot expo'...
  6. Hi Wayne, How about another bridge span with the track lifted and now used for road access for P/W gangs etc.
  7. A true comedy great, even though he may not have been in the spotlight the same as the stars he made.
  8. They look like they are suffering from their excesses by the end...

  10. I built a couple of David Geen's LNER 13t coal hoppers quite a while ago (I've built another more recently in EM BR) and have just started refurbishing three that I bought off a friend a couple of years ago. They have been weathered and one has had a repaint into 'unpainted' livery using Games Workshop 'Bleached Bone' then weathered with powders. A couple of them have loose wheels, I think the axleguards need re-fixing. Here's some photos of them on Felton Lane.
  11. If anyone finds a 4mm scale pigeon at thier end of the wormhole please send it back to me. Ta.

  15. Wasp sting on left forearm this morning, quite swollen now :(

  16. It can go wrong though, I was watching at one show and a van/taxi (can't remember which) took a 'wrong turn' and almost went over the edge, luckily it hit the front edge board.
  17. Caption needed for this photo please (not too rude!), taken on Sunday at Gilling. Kempenfelt (left) and Craigwelsh.

We've had baking hot sun and torrential downpours.

  19. A few spots of rain this morning...

  20. I believe you have two options here. 1. 'Calorie Trading' in which you eat the pasties, cream tea, steak etc and you give someone some money to buy an apple, orange or banana. 2. 'Calorie Off-setting' in which you eat the pasties, cream tea, steak etc and you give someone an apple, orange or banana. This seems to work with 'big business' for coal/oil and trees so why not us... :D
  21. Bob Harris is on form tonight, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle and Hank Williams...

  22. Looks very good B), have you thought about changing the wheels? the flanges are very noticeable from these low angles.
