Thanks hopefully Roger Chivers will be making some more Q6's !!

Is the new Q6 the Bradwell kit ? Significance of the Q6 chimney mentioned in the picture caption ?

Its a shame that the V2 body isnt being upgraded. The moulding looks poor compared to current mouldings , the tender with fixed coal etc needs a much better moulding too. It will be interesting to compare the B1 with the new Hornby when it arrives that is a much better body than the V2., but again the tender lets it down. I must have a good B1 never had a problem with it

O4 now as O4/3 version in pre weathering pictures. Archer Rivet decals added to the front of the frames and to the edge of the Chimney . Moulding lines removed from Boiler and Chimney, Buffer housings now Red. Chequer plate area in front of Smokebox smothed over with filler
-
Bachmann O4 now de lettered and vacumn ejector pipe removed. I have added white paint to the front of the frame to make it easier to add the prominent rivets .The chequer plate area are in front of the smokebox has been filled as from information below , it should be flat http://www.lner.info/forums/Bachmann-announce-o4-t2141s60.html I have now got a number/photo for a North Eastern based O4/3

The MJR issue No 95 with build of the Kitchen Car by Steve Banks and info from Mike Trice were/are a great help , otherwise I would have been clueless too

Now ready for windows , curtains and gangways then its done . More done on the Kitchen Car sides now soldered and Tumblehome done. Next will be to fit the sides to the Hornby donor body. On seeing the prices of the next issue of Bachmann O4 I decided to grab one off Ebay for a good price. This is in the process of be backdated to LNER as a O4/3 version. This was used with a ROD Tender as supplied by Bachmann. Hence no Vac pipes and a 3 link coupling version. I have removed the Smokebox moulding and cleaned up the mould lines on top of boiler and chimney. The Loco has been seperated from the tender . Where the plug is connected to the loco I have bridge the connector s with brass wire and runs fine. Tender has the awful Coal casting removed and Lead of the same weight added inside the body instead. It will recieve a real Coal load. Next remove the BR lettering and numbers using Tcut and LNER via HMRS decals. I have asked via a seperate thread for correct numbers for a North East based Loco havent found many pictures either if any one has any please ? Yes I have seen the front bogie is derailed

Nothing similar in Tatlows or N.E record . Possibly a G2 as lots survived post war. No markings on any of the axleboxes ? -
Another option depending on your room lighting is to block out the windows and take pictures then. My little Canon is quite good in artificial light without flash . Layout coming on nicely

Now teaked and ones side lined out and drying. Now sitting loose on the repainted and narrowed chassis
