  1. Could that be the small hump at Feltham? Regards, Alastair M
  2. Please don't shout. I have a new hearing aid. Alastair M
  3. A C13 4-4-2 tank with a nearly 50 year lifespan would be very popular I believe. Best wishes, Alastair M
  4. I think an ex GC C13 4-4-2 would make a lovely model, but then I am obviously biased.....
  5. You too! Best wishes, seasons greetings Alastair M
  6. That is an outstanding, atmospheric picture. Lovely Tom, thank you. Bestvwishes Alastair M
  7. Is that a 2 turning out of Cold Harbour Lane in that excellent 1930s shot of Brixton? Thanks for putting these up.
  8. Is that maybe a B16 rather than a B12?
  9. I think the cases on the roof hold the cream, butter, eggs and other bits and pieces this fella delivers..... Great shot.
  10. Re tt120. This is pure speculation, but I would think a lot of the people on this thread enjoy making models, one way or another. This probably means most of us enjoy dealing with after market suppliers, kit makers etc etc and speaking for myself, I can't see that kind of 'infrastructure' growing up in TT120 anytime soon? Plus, to me it doesn't have as much scenic scope or appeal as 2mm fs or n.
  11. I would love to know why Hornby haven't produced a modern Saint. How many would they sell compared to let's say an A2/3, the 2-8-2 etc? A massive gaping hole in the range of top GWR locos. Then there's the Bulldog......... I am a convicted GC modeller these days, but if they made a Saint, I would buy at least one. Cheers
  12. Haven't seen a Vickers Vanguard for ages. When my dad first took me to Ringway (Sunday mornings) Viscounts ruled the roost. Internationally, Vickers sold ten times more Viscounts. Great picture!
  13. Sad news indeed. I didn't realise they were a 2 person band! Alastair
  14. Lovely. 👍 I am also a huge fan of your C13, is that from the Nu-cast kit? Best wishes, Alastair
  15. I look forward to what happens next! I have just returned from Arizona where the freights running between Tucson and Phoenix were the main excitement. Unfortunately my phone camera malfunctioned, so no pictures. Next trip. Best wishes and thanks, Alastair
  16. Delightful stuff Johann, thank you so much for sharing. Was there a particular reason for focusing on this area, other than the blindingly obvious tons of interest in a relatively small area? Best wishes, Alastair
  17. I believe Robin's disgusting prairie is based on a photo, the pedigree of which I cannot remember, or where I saw it. However it was used to illustrate a story of cleaners in post war Britain believing they were cleaning a (wartime?) black prarie, only to discover it was green, in about 1947 or 8. Regards, Alastair
  18. I think 30368 has it right: the double centre light is unique to this loco? Best wishes Alastair
  19. I would be very interested in matchboard suburban stock...... Alastair
  20. Elongated cursor or no Gilbert, those two shots of the B12 against the bridge fully demonstrate the quality of the amazing string of photos us lucky punters have been treated to. I don't think anybody else produces such real railway like photos. Absolutely top notch, thank you. Alastair M
  21. Excellent stuff John, Broome Hall looks great. The train's not bad either! Best wishes Alastair
