  1. Stenedoc, I have replied by e-mail as requested. I am more than a little interested in your offer and would not be selling this model on! 😀 Best wishes, Alastair
  2. Outstanding. Best wishes, Alastair
  3. So sorry to hear this. It is unlikely, but should I hear anything, I will be right back to you. Alastair
  4. I know I ought to get out more, I am alarmed at how excited I am by this release. It'll be a West Yorkshire one for me. The problem of course is going to come when I plonk this on the station forecourt alongside a contemporary (as in a North Western windover for example) from somewhere like efe - one of them may suffer in comparison! Alastair
  5. If you Google images yorks co-ops 1950s and 60s, there are some great pics to be had, especially things like typefaces for signage etc..... Best wishes, Alastair
  6. Neal Hattons currently have Thames Valley Windover coaches, which are 1930s possibly (?) and 40s definitely, and TV Leyland TD1s for around ten quid. They are both much nicer bus models than the Lledo offering I think? Alastair M
  7. As far as I know, all EFE models are 1:76 so good for OO. Alastair M
  8. What a machine! For my money the mother and father of all 20th century 4-6-0s at the very least and the epitome of Churchward's greatness. Yum.
  9. That is just magnificent! Thank you, Alastair M
  10. I'm sure Clive could lend you one of his....?😄
  11. Wow. That looks really good. Best observed and modelled from the look of those photographs. Alastair M
  12. Cue the fairly well documented story (I think) of the cleaner who was told to have a bash at doing something with this very class of prarie and after 15 minutes work realised it was green, not black as everyone supposed. Was that Reading shed? Regards Alastair M
  13. I saw CF at Ally Pally yesterday. It is a truly breathtaking achievement. I spent a happy few minutes chatting to Rob, one of the team. Pure pleasure, the whole experience. Thanks guys and given recent developments, here's to the next 40 or so years. Alastair M
  14. I would love to see Rapido do an ex GC J10 0-6-0. They appeared throughout the Midlands, North West, Lincs to N Wales, East Anglia and into the Metropolis on the London Extension. Just a thought...... Alastair M
  15. The Claughton is superb and so rarely seen modelled. Alastair M
  16. Ship modelers quite commonly use stretched sprue for rigging....... Alastair M.
  17. I am not sure why, but Number 22 looks excellent in those shots Rob. The weathering is spot on. Ace. Alastair M
  18. I would also like to wish BGman a complete and rapid recovery. We have never met, but some of his commentary on ANTB and elsewhere has had me laughing out loud. Very best wishes, Alastair M
  19. but a decent quality Saint would be nifty too.......
