I did some modelling today and throughly enjoyed working in P4 again. I haven't undertaken any serious P4 modelling for several years.

17 children remain this afternoon out of 29 in my class and this has been replicated across our two-form entry school. Most are off following the government advice. So, when do the mass closures start!?

Amazing number of people clapping here! Thank you to all NHS workers and volunteers: it makes one proud to be British.

Cheers guys. The local priest came to bless our place of work yesterday. That brought some mixed emotions. Given the circumstances, some felt it more like we were being read the last rites and got very upset. But we carry on and with God's blessings, we'll come out the other side. Each week that goes by is one week closer to getting on top of it.

I heard the phrase something like "There is and end to this..." this morning. I believe it is the title of a book about very tough events to be dealt with and the author was talking on Radio 2 to Kate Botley and Jason Mohammed at about 8 this morning. She was lovely and calm and measured. Quite inspirational. Stay safe you all.

Droppers fitted to the track on Whitchurch today. Nice to actually build a layout, rather than just think about it!

Has spent a very productive afternoon repairing several older Hornby models from his childhood. Many which hadn't turned a wheel for 15 plus years are now working far more satisfactorily.

When did SR CCT vans loose their roof ventilators?
Currently building a batch (some SR built and some BR) and wanted to have a bit of variation! Cheers.

Yesterday, I bought some guttering and down pipe parts from ModelU, which look rather nice. This was the cheapest order placed this weekend! I think the modelling mojo has returned.

I'm having a massive clear out! Lots of BR-era stock will be listed over the coming days (SR/WR bias). Please do have a look - I need rid!

Tested positive for Covid on Monday... managed to avoid it for the past two years and then fall the week before the Taunton do. Typical!!

I had it three weeks ago and it was really like a bad/very bad cold although I was tired at times and lost my appetite to some extent, plus few occasional headaches. Senses of smell and taste were unaffected.. If it goes like that the worst should be over in no more than a week or so and hopefully you won't get the continuous nausea which hit me as everything else improved.

Today will be spent mostly avoiding doing things... How much mischief can I achieve in a 6 hour working day?

... if you could oblige us with a Bren Gun, or failing that a hand grenade or two!!

'... A pincer movement from the two women!' Must remember that one!

'My Mummy used to keep me in a cage-thing at night.' Says a 4 year old, referring to the cot she used to sleep in!

‘Exercise control 007 here, I will report in an hour.’ Pretty girl offers drink ‘Better make that two!’ Such an amazing line!

"Number One company two rounds volley fire! FIRE!" I do love the British Victorian army!

"Some men have come here to kill us. We're going to kill them first." What a line!

"Trucks are waiting in the Yard; Tacking them with ease'll, "Show the world what I can do," Gaily boasts the Diesel. In and out he creeps about, Like a big black weasel. When he pulls the wrong trucks out
