Have you got any plans yet for space and how it will look?
Regards,
Nick

That's really lovely Tim.

Looks really nice Ian, the 1905 period is different too. Makes a nice change from either the 30s or 50s.
It makes me feel better that I haven't progressed much in 2 years with my P4 layout, but then great art is a time consuming process. (That's what I have been telling myself anyway!)
Regards,
Nick.

Cheers Barry, I've got a couple of Kings that I would like to convert over to P4 one day and this is really helpful.

Nick.

Really nice work so far.
Have you seen the current weathering article in Model Rail, some really useful tips for a good finish.

Nick

Lovely work Al, I really do like that livery. Just out of interest what is the haulage capacity like?

Nick

I'd go for the Comet chassis, myself Paul. Aren't the hornblocks already cut out? Make it a hell of a lot easier to convert to P4 I would have thought.
Regards,
Nick.

This is rather good, I'll have to look at doing mine one day...

Hi Craig,
Thanks for that bit of advice. I hadn't notice the rods to be honest, but now they have been pointed out they are a bit chunky!
Geoff (Sparky) has come up trumps with the MRJ articles, so this afternoon I will begin reading with a view to carrying on over the weekend. As I sideline I have been converting a Hornby auto coach over to P4, using MJT bits and bobs, so will post my progress on that at some point over the weekend as well.
Thanks for the advice and interest so far.

David that is really nice! I will have one for my layout!
Thanks for posting,

Nick

That would be an amazing part of marble run!
-
Hi David,
Just out of interest what radius are your curves?
Regards,
Nick

Hi Ian,
I've worked out which MRJs the articles are in, nos 61 and 62. Just need to try and track them down!

... my prejudice towards GWR livery.
I must say Mark I'm with you regarding the livery. Brunswick Green with Chocolate and Cream coaching stock is wonderful!
(Although Black with Crimson and Cream isn't too bad!)

Certainly looks like it would require a 14inch shell to destroy it!

Hi Ian,
Many thanks for your suggestion regarding Iain Rice and Mainly Trains. You don't happen to know which issue of MRJ it was in?
Hi Paul,
Now you mention it that coupling hook does look rather big and as I will be using AJs I think I will try and remove it and replace it with a smaller scale version.
Regards,
Nick.

Looking nice and tidy (or is that looked )
Reading your proposed projects, I guess you got over that gauge wobble we talked about then
Well I am still a bit wobbly, but I really enjoy track building and I love the look of Exactoscale 2 Bolt GWR chairs with steel rail, and yesterday I had a good look through the WT for Horrabridge and basically I could operate the layout with 6 locos, three of which are nearly finished so the thought of starting all over again really would be daft!

I does look like something out of a Rev. Awdry story at the moment I have to admit!!
Well being a 'westerner' I do like all things Swindon, although LSWR is rather appealing I have to admit!
Regards,
Nick.

Never a truer word spoken!
-
Cheers Tim! Very helpful advice as always.
-
Nick, 9/10 and a star for tidiness!
All you have to do is get down to work now!
Thank you sir!
I give myself about 2 days before it is a mess again!
Regards,

That sounds really nice!

That's very nice Tim! That chair does look good! But the question is will the signal man be sitting in it once complete?!
Regards,

Cheers Tim.

Probably best if you want to keep your sanity! Lovely work Paul, the painting really sets it off.

Nick.
