  1. I’m 99.99% sure it was reported somewhere for a specific reason. I just can’t for the life of me remember where or what.
  2. What makes you think it won’t be “up to scratch”?
  3. Wasn’t there originally a plan before HM The Queen passed to run it with a different tender emblem for something? I’m sure I read that somewhere. Can’t for the life of me remember where though.
  4. The only change that was made to Elizabeth II, as far as I am aware, was repainting the name plates black after HM The Queen passed away instead of red.
  5. I was hoping for a Platinum 67 as well. Would have made a nice companion to Elizabeth II in my display cabinet.
  6. And is this a good change or a bad change? I’m a western man so not hugely familiar with eastern details
  7. Does anyone have comparison images of the old and new A3/4 wheel sets? What’s the changes?
  8. Nope, if you zoom in it is definitely not a reflection
  9. That’s how it looked at the Wembley exhibition. Polished rims instead of painted. Will be interesting how they pull that off. Pic from the NRM Facebook page.
  10. Nope I like the idea of the Dublo special Edition.
  11. It’s an 18/19 year old model, first released in around 2004/2005. Just a big standard BR Class A4. Nothing exciting or outstanding really. Wasn’t limited edition or anything.
  12. Yes it’s on YouTube now
  13. Did you watch the Hornby video? SK stated it’s a catch up year due to frustrating delays and having to reengineer previously announced models over last couple of years. Good move in my opinion.
  14. I missed out. I have Mallard preordered now.
  15. You obviously aren’t watching the YouTube release. Same top spec.
  16. My preorders are in. USA Scotsman already preordered last year. New ones this year are limited to Caldicot Castle, Dublo Mallard, and the Tyne Dock 9F.
  17. Great to see speakers and stay alives are simple plug ins.
  18. Great to see some new magnetic coupling variations.
  19. Just watching Hornby’s video on YouTube, Simon said it’s very much a catch-up year as the delays on previously announced models are as frustrating to them as to us. Very sensible in my opinion. Personally, I’m very much looking forward to the Tyne Dock class 9F. My Consett wagons have waited a long time lol.
  20. I wasn’t saying it’s Hornby’s mistake. If they went back to the 25th or 1st dates for announcements, magazines released in the 2nd week of January wouldn’t be released before announcement. I don’t know of any printers that work on Christmas or new years. At least here in New Zealand.
  21. They seem to get it wrong most years lately. If they went back to the Christmas announcement, or 1st Jan announcement then surely that would negate any early leaks.
  22. Of course they will. They have said many times in the past, even if a loco uses the same tender as multiple other locos, it will have a new tooling for each loco. Otherwise the tender tooling would wear out far too quickly.
